As Memorial Day approaches, I hope we can all take a moment to reflect on, and honor the sacrifices made by so many. Let us never take our freedoms for granted and let us always be thankful for those who defend and protect us.

My two oldest boys, currently serving.

    My Dad, taken during WWII

Feel free to add your own pics or stories about your family members who served.

Americans sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

God Bless all who serve to protect our freedom and to those who lost their lives doing so. jdubbya you have to be so proud of your sons they look so handsome in their uniforms! May they stay safe while serving to protect us and to keep this great land of ours free!

Remember what they were fighting for... as we remember them.

Thanks to all who have served or are serving today.

Let's not forget in all the fun this weekend to take a moment to give thanks and remember all those men and women who have sacrificed so much to give us the freedoms that we enjoy.

Give the boys my love, jdubbya, and remind them that someone in VA thinks of them with affection and thanks them for their service.

And thanks too, to you and your wife, and the families of all those who serve.

^^+1 to that. Well said MHooch.

Have had family serve and have been fortunate enough not to have had lost anyone. I'll be raising a glass in thanks to those who haven't returned.

Placed flags on my father & grandfather's graves today. The American Legion beat me to it, but I still put mine up anyway.
