Good afternoonHave a great weekend, everyone.
Within the next couple of days, I have to see if I can find a truly black washcloth to match my new, Gothic-looking towel set; most are a diluted, off-black, so wish me luck...![]()

Good morning everyone! Have a great Sunday.
Twenty-two years ago today my father passed away after a two year battle with lung cancer. Even if I wasn't
his son I would be in awe of him. There wasn't anything he couldn't do. Cars, furnace, television, etc.....he could fix
them all. He was an amazing man with a great sense of humor and everyone liked him. He was married to my
mother for 54 years and raised 8 kids and he was always there when we needed him! There isn't a day goes by
that I don't think of him and miss him terribly
Love ya daddy.I never get MAD, I get EVEN! Pray I only get MAD!

I'm sorry, Gob. Sounds like you were very close and that he was a wonderful human being. You have the right idea remembering the positives; that's the best way to keep someone's memory alive

Good morning everyone. Have a great day!
Ya'll should've met my mother. She lived to be 92! She would work 3rd shift in the mill. (12am-8am) then he would go over
to Grandma's house and help her with Poppa who had a stroke. She'd get home at noon, lay down for a couple of hours then
get up to fix supper! She'd go back into to work and do it all over again! She raised 8 kids and her sister's two boys too. She
was tough too! She had a mild stroke and came back from it, had cancer and beat it! She was diabetic and had congested
heart failure like me. She was a strong willed woman that didn't take nothing off nobody! I think the hardest thing for her was
taking care of daddy when he got down with cancer....it was very hard on her to watch the man she had loved for 50 years
waste away and know there's nothing you can do about it.I never get MAD, I get EVEN! Pray I only get MAD!
