RIP my loyal friend

We lost our beautiful dog today to medical complications associated with Lyme disease. He was fine until Thursday morning but took a sudden turn that afternoon, experiencing neurological problems, temperature of 106, sudden lameness, not eating/drinking. The vet admitted him overnight but he was not responding. We had a tough decision to make but after talking to the vet it was decided that euthanizing the dog was the humane thing. Rudy was only 5 years old and was born on Halloween which made him all the more special. My son and I were with him when he passed, but it is indeed a very sad day in our home, which is now strangely quiet. We'll miss you Rudy.

very sad to hear, 5 years is way too young. I lost my cat at 5 not long ago too and understand the pain. You know youll eventually have to come to terms with a pet passing but at such a young age its more difficult because its very unexpected. So sorry again
