These are a weird and wonderful (2 page) collection of actual statues that appear in and around our little planet. I have a personal favorite - #4 The Awakening - found in Washington D.C. near where I used to live. We would take a picnic to the park there and our kids would climb into his mouth! Eeek!! Seemed harmless at the time - but my sub-concience may have been working overtime. We have 4 kids (now grown), and I hope they didn't think I wanted them to get eaten up!

In any case - enjoy the strange and some a bit risque statues! Gotta love the creepy baby ones too! BOO!

wow... weird on so many levels!

I got a chance to see the baby kicking statue while in Norway... it is in Vigeland Park... they have a bunch of statues that are all a little creepy.

Thanks Susie. Those really were quite disturbing. While it's true that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I kind of liked the giant pooh statue. and Idefinitely wouldn't call it beautiful! Maybe the statues aren't as disturbed as I obviously am!

I love links like this, that's one evil looking horse. The faceless babies are the creepiest.
