The Westboro Baptist idiots are foiled trying to disrupt another fallen Serviceman's funeral. We can all take a lesson from this!

Wow. I don't agree with the violence, but I can definitely understand it. Good for them for preventing these horrible, vile excuses for human beings from defiling a solder's funeral with their hatred. I do hope this is a true story.

I'm not sure why this type of hate mongering is still considered protected free speech - they crossed the line years ago and it's no longer voicing an opinion; it's pure vileness and hate.

I can definitely understand it. Maybe if this happens more often (and I'm certain it will), these bottom feeders will think twice about some of their tactics. This is a hate group and nothing more or less. Mainstream society will reach their limit of tolerance for this type of crap, and sadly the violent response may be the only thing they respond to.

Bravo for those who parked their pick up trucks in front of those cars letting Sgt. Jason Rogers funeral to carry on with the dignity and honor that he and his family deserved. He gave his precious life for us to be free. Can't believe how tainted their minds have become when they can only see and hear the hatred that they believe and nothing else. Also how good of the officials and others to look the other way.

Didn't read the article, but just want to say that Westboro threatened to come to my town a few weeks ago to protest the funeral of one of the boys killed in Germany. The town, which I am extremely proud of now, came out in full support of the widow and family. The funeral route, from the church to the cemetery, was packed with thousands of flag- flying citizens. Westboro was a no-show.
I'm not a fan of violence, but I think I'd have to ..well.. I ain't gonna say.. that'd be mean....

btw- IMO- Their right to free speech ends at my ear. I have the right not to hear it.

They came to our town to but the local press agreed to give them air time so they wouldnt protest.

I like what Mississippi did instead.

They are evil people who have no right dis-honoring the deaths of young men who gave up their lives in service of our country. Free speech only goes so far. You can't yell fire in a crowded theater. They are looking to get a rise out of people and should be shut down.
