I've always had a Passion for Decorating. Both Interior and Exterior, landscaping. I throughly enjoy looking at how others showcase their homes and yards. Tending to blend the macabre with Old world Gothic/Victorian, a Love for Antiques and Bizzare Oddities has always been my mental musing
However, on the same token I still throughly enjoy and apprecaite all forms of decor and seeing how others blend differing styles within their homes. I'd tend to imagaine that most of our family members here have the odd Samhain Decor item lurking about all year round.
My husband and I are still in the process of moving into our "First" home, having always rented I throughly look forward to dusting off the cob webs within this noodle "Brain" of mine and find the Inspiration I know is despearatley waiting to reimerge now that it can take flight on a whole new and exciting level.....So, without hesitation I welcome all of our family members to indulge me here on even if its only a glimpse into your own person abode, not just what it looks like at Samhain time, but would love to see your true colours all year round.
And when we fninsh getting moved and then unpacked, I'd love to share mine with you.
Anyways, enjoy showcasing your Dark or not so Dark Abode here, looking forward to seeing the multi-faceted sides of our psyche![]()

I am also in love with sophisticated gothic decor. Sort of macabre, yet beautiful. Are either of you LiveJournal members? (I belong to a good community about this topic and was curious if either of you might belong to it, as well. Especially you, Duchess - I think you would like it there.)

No im not a member, not sure what that is? I posted on your profile page where to get the cake plate. I got it years ago but every now and then I see one pop up. Of course now I have reason to look again and again. If I see one Ill snatch it up for you

Sorry I didnt know it was for regular decor,
for my everyday home decor Im very similar to my Halloween. I like to mix new with old and am very eclectic. I dont like every piece to match, I think that makes for a dull home. Im still in the process of finishing my own and its a work in progress. Would love to see your home pics Dutchess I bet they are fabulous
Linus: You've heard about fury and a woman scorned?
Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

OMG Spookilicious!!I covet your Hula Ghoul!!
We like mid-century stuff, these are our 2 new lamps. The brown one was a Goodwill find. It's from the late 50s/early 60s. It needs a new shade but mostly we were looking for lamp that the cats wouldn't knock over when they rampage around the house. It's a reeeeallly heavy ceramic. The blue one was a find in an antique barn a few weeks ago. Vintage everything on that one. That's not its permanent home, that's just where I put it take the pic.
