Well thanks to that silly ground hog a couple weeks ago, we're having 6 more weeks of winter. AGGGGH!! I look at the count down till Halloween and my panic is starting to rise. I have so much I want to do, and time is slipping away.
My shop is in my garage, and there is no electricity nor heat. If I want electricity, I have to run extention cords to what ever I am doing. And of course, my wife is the ruler of the house, and has declared NO Halloween contruction projects in the house.
So, here I sit, watching it snow, snow, and snow some more. I've shoveled the path to the garage a couple of times where I stand in the dark and cold and feel frustrated. I swear someday I'm gonna get that rodent.....
You said you wanna what? with who? I don't think so!

I feel your pain brother! I want to get out there and do something productive but for me its either too cold, windy or raining! The worst is that if I open my garage door while its windy, the water heater's pilot blows out! I am sick of relighting it over and over and over....
A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..

I feel your pain, Hallomarine. I have about bits and pieces of stuff strewn all over my computer desk waiting to be assembled into awesome props. There's a pile of stuff on back porch also just sitting there, mocking me. I can't wait for some warm, dry weather.

There are other holidays besides Halloween? When did they start that?

    Hey Hallomarine,

Just asking because I'm a dumb blonde, but can't you find a way to bargain with the wife? Women always want something (I should know) so if you find what that is, you may be able to exchange it for a small portion of the house to start working in, at least until the weather clears. Just a suggestion. And what is this rodent you speak of? Why can't you just trap it or (heaven forbid) poison it?

    And ter_ran,

Isn't there a way to block the water heater so that the wind won't blow out its pilot? Just trying to help.

T.S. You're not a dumb blonde, you're just an under informed person of paler hair type. Have you ever heard the phrase "if Mama ain't happy, nobody happy?" Unfortunately, no projects in the house makes "Mama" happy. Besides, it's starting to warm up a bit, and Spring might actually be in sight.
Oh, and the rodent of which I speak? It's a ground hog named Phil, that is kept back East, who determines how much more winter we have, based on whether or not he sees his shadow.

and should I be so bold to answer for ter_ran - the answer is no

    Hallomarine,

Your response made me laugh out loud. I TRIED to help. Gotta give me credit for that.

And we certainly can't kill Punxsutawney Phil. I thought you were talking about a rodent at your place.

    Thanks for the humorous response!
