I'm not sure this absolutely necessary but I just learned my birthday is only 49 days away. And being it'll be my 19th (legal drinking age up here in Canada, 18 in the provinces to my West and East, the rest are 19 as well) so I'm really kinda excited for it. I don't want to be, cause when I get really excited about something, it seems it turns out like crap or it doesn't happen. So like I say, I don't wanna get excited but it hard not to, right? Like how many people in the States look forward to their 21st?

I unno. Just thought I'd share my excitement with everyone, hope I don't make you guys feel like I spam this off-topic section with my stupid threads

I would be more than happy to raise a glass with you ...HOWEVER, not without first giving you a little ghoulish motherly advice Turning the legal drinking age where you live can be a great mile stone to reach if you handle it with responsibility. Enjoy your night and enjoy it with as many friends as possible. Have a drink maybe two, but please make sure you dont go overboard where you end up puking your lil ghoul brains out or worse crashed somewhere and wake up not remembering a thing.
There is no way you can possibly enjoy a night like that especially the morning after and you should respect yourself more than that. (swooop, Spooki jumps off her soap box) Ok that said enjoy your evening HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, and I raise my glass and propose a toast! Ehem...."May the road you travel on lead you to many fascinating journeys and may you learn from each and everyone one of them"

Hmm, I realize now how stupid it was to start this thread. The responses are great, but it's completely unnecessary. It's seven weeks away and already the WoW (words of wisdom) come flying in, haha. I like it.

There's sort of two ways I could go about the night. Take the route Mama explained above, obviously not the car wreck one, but the drink myself silly and not remember anything, but hopefully have some pictures, maybe some video clips and such to look at the day after I recoup a bit. It might be my ignorance and inexperience, but you know it's a good night when you can't remember a thing. (Like "The Hangover" those guys had a helluva time).

Or take it easy, get tipsy, get drunk, get rowdy and have a fun time but don't do the whole black out (not the angry black out) thing and be able to remember it the day after as I nurse a hangover. I guess it depends how I go about celebrating it.

For a while I was under the impression my Old Man was gunna take me to his buddy's private bar in a town less than an hour outta the city. Take a couple buddy's and it would be closed for the night. My dad and his buddy's from his old occupation, and some buddy's of mine getting slobbered. But today he asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday I was like da fack? I thought we were going to the bar.. So I've never thought about it. Problem is my birthday comes at 12:00 midnight on a Sunday morning/Saturday night, whose gunna wanna party Sunday mornin'? Bleh.. I'll figure something out, I'm sure. Perhaps I've just got to excited for it already and it'll turn out ok, but not the big hallelujah I'm thinking/hoping it's gunna be.

HAHAHA - TD - You know you'd have a good night if you can't remember what happened, and paying for it the day before! Though, lickin' on urinal cake is not how I want to wake up.

However, the get slobbered outta yer mind and not remember anything may not be the route to go with a christening drink-fest. That's for things like St Patrick's Day, New Years Eve, etc. A coming of the age is something one may like to remember for a while.

As I was going up the stair, I saw a man that wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today...Oh how I wish he'd go away.

Yes. I hope it's something to remember. Apparently my dad has forgotten the aforementioned activity. The more I think about it, the better it fits. He suggested a garage party. Which is fine, if you have enough of a social circle that you enjoy to host a party. Which is where it falls apart. Sure I know lots of people, but all the times they had parties, I never heard anything about it. And even some really good friends don't let me know/invite me to stuff that they're doing. Which annoys the hell outta me. I went to a couple of parties and I really dig the whole environment and since I've constantly been looking but nobody tells me bout jack squeeze. So I think going to my dad's buddy's bar with a couple of friends that I can have fun with would fit perfectly. Not trying to host a bunch of people that could give two craps, and never invited me to a damn thing. I take the f'em attitude towards those people. And once I am 19 I'll do whatever the heck I want with or without them. I'm not gunna depend on those shallow twits to have a party so I can maybe show up as a DD and not have any fun, getting looks like WTF you doing here?

Bothers me to no end. I can't even like talk socially to people I don't know. They all think I'm weird or somethin' like just straight f'd or the girls just think to shallow to even give me second look. Even when I get a little more "comfortable" and start talking to chicks they just look at me like, don even try it with me. I ain't into that stuff.

So I guess the whole party thing is six of one half a dozen of the other. One part I'm there and it's fun to be there and get "comfortable" (there's that term again ) and start talking to people. The other part is the negativity. The looks, the BS with shallow chicks all that. I unno, I guess this turned into more of a rant than a reply >_<

    Sorry guys
