Middle son had two weeks leave from the Marines in December. He visited one of our Boy Scout Troop meetings one evening and put the kids through some boot camp drills. This was his old Troop so he got a kick out of having some fun with the boys.

    him and the old man

and at the airport on the day he went back

It was great to have him home. Hoping he can come back over the summer.

jdubbya, those are great pictures. What a handsome son you have. The Scouts look like they really enjoyed having him--but maybe they're a bit sore from the workout he put them through! You have a lovely family. Thanks to your son for his service.

There is no way I could tell he was Marine.... NOT! You could spot he was a Marine a mile away. There's nothing better looking then a Marine physique

The scouts loved it but they were a bit intimidated by him. He really came on strong and told them it was going to be similar to what he went through in boot. He yelled some, got in some faces but they all responded. They were all shouting "yes sir" even w/o being told to do so. The adults were loving it!

Good luck to your nephew on his decision to serve! I'm a bit partial towards the Marines and Navy, but kudos to all branches!

lol! When we were at the airport waiting for his departure flight, a couple came up to us and said "I'll bet your son is in the Marines". We asked how they guessed that and they said "you can just tell by the way he carries himself." Made us smile!

So good to see him!!! Looks like the kids had a good time, and how cool that it was his old Troop.

I'm so glad that you had him home to visit. When you talk to him be sure to tell him that prayers go up every day for him from VA.

Thanks for posting those pics, I enjoyed them very much. Good to see you and the wife, too, nice treat!
