Over this past summer my best friend went on vaction almost did something terrible. He almost took his own life. Thankfully his uncle stoped him. My friend had the gun loaded and everything. Now he is going to therapy and taking anti-depressent medications. He is currently angy at me because I told three of OUR friends this story and HE told two people, he blames me for telling all five people.
So today he was mad about all of this and he stormed off only to sit with a group of girls, including the girl I like and her friends which leads to yet another problem, he told them i am a f***ing Dwad and i am the worst person ever. This just made it a whole lot harder to talk to the girl i like since i am already really shy.
Hi, I'm sorry about your friend. I've been suffering from depression on and off for over 13 years, we're not always easy to get along with. During my bleak periods I'd often say nasty things that I didn't mean, depression can cause emotional numbness. If your friend has started on anti depressants give him a few weeks as they don't always work from the get go. It might also be helpful for him to have cognitive behavioural therapy. I'd try talking to him and ask him why he embarrassed you like that. Tell him you understand he's going through a rough period but it's unfair to take it out on friends. My Husband would tell you, "you just have to have patience and be supportive"
