    What's scarier than ghouls & goblins? .....

Seeing your child get thrown from a horse, land on her head and then lay there lifeless. That was my evening yesterday. She does Equestrian and was doing jumps at her lesson when her horse decided to be a butt head and throw her. We spent the evening at the ER and had to get CAT scans done. Thankfully no injuries to the head or neck. Her helmet though now busted up did it's job. Thank God! She got a mouth and eye full of dirt and her face is all scratched up but she is ok and will be ok and asking when she can ride again.

So that was my real fright for the season.

Wow! So glad she is okay. What a scare that must have been for both of you. I got bucked off once when a horse I was riding spooked. It's a long way down!

I'm glad she wasn't too badly hurt, but as a parent it scares the heck out of you!
As a kid my favorite pastime was horse-riding, you get used to the adrenalin. My eledest broke her pelvis this summer no thanks to her school, last time she participates on a school outing.

I'm glad she's ok, you're right there's nothing worse than seeing your Child suffering. My Son had emergency surgery once, it was awful.
