Just bought a few resin three piece "bucky" skulls from Ebay. The price was good and the description seemed reasonable, but the quality was less that good. They have a stamp of Mr. Skeleton on the back. The ad said First Quality, but the lids were terrible. The are completely misshapen. Good for a corpsing project maybe, but that is about it. But hey, for $12, guess you can't expect much. Better off buying a Lindberg for just a few bucks more. To their credit, the bottom portion of the skull seems nicely cast, the shipping was reasonable and delivery was quick.

If it said first quality you should have gotten a first quality. Maybe it was a typo on their part. You should let them know.
"...And out of the darkness, the Zombie did call
True pain and suffering he brought to them all
Away ran the children to hide in their beds,
for fear that the devil would chop off their heads..."

They title the listing as "Improved" and quickly list "First Quality Skull" in the description. I did email asking if they had better ones than I received. On Ebay, I should get what is pictured and not have to go back and forth about how the item did not match the quality that was described. The onus is on the seller to ensure they ship what is described. Like I said, it was a small investment and I knew the risks, but figured I would save a few members some money by letting them know the items they sent me were not exactly good, or first quality in this case.

A few months ago, I bought three resin skulls on Ebay at approximately $12 each (as I recall). I was just buying some extras and I only expected 4th quality skulls. I opened one...it is definitely good quality and the lid matches. It surprised me to find that it wasn't 4th quality. I just pulled that skull out of the box to look for markings. It's also stamped Mr. Skeleton.
In this case...I have to say...I believe the intent was sincere and they forwarded the imported items to you, not knowing the skulls in the boxes weren't 1st quality.
Note - a heat gun will soften the skull material so you can fit the lid to the base.

Thanks for the tip, but these lids are in much worse shape that that. The pins line up, and it does stay together, but the rest is completely out of whack. They are warped and lumpy.
Maybe I got a few from a bad batch.

Seller replied and said they are a bad batch of lids from China and claim that is why they placed prop quality on the listing. But it was as follows:
"This is a first quality skull for prop purposes "
Can't be used as a prop if you do not plan to cover up the lid. In this case, I think the vendor should have stated the problems with the product before the sale.
