Remember SpookyPlanet? Looks like Erik Carlson might be up to his old BS tricks again. Here's a spam mail I got today:

12 Year old Halloween Retail Business for Sale - $40,000. This business has been doing close to $150,000. It has done $200,000 in past years but owners are going into other business opps. The business is self contained - you do not need to stock any merchandise, everything is drop shipped. You get the web site itself - Spooky Planet International, LLC which itself cost about $20,000 over the past five years.

The purchase will include:

- Web site Spooky Planet International, LLC
- All contact information for all vendors and a proper introduction to each
- An in-person welcome (we will fly to you in the USA)
- Huge mailing list of 12 years of customers
- All logos, designs and trade names - estimated cost at $10,000
- All manuals and documents that were prepared to start selling store franchises
- All internal contacts including web master and etc.
- 1 year free of hosting.

This is a great way to get into the business without spending tons of money on buying merchandise and stock. Please, only serious E-mails only.

A bit of online checking shows a few more "got ripped off" complaints out there from late 2009. Stay away from this thief - he has a long history of taking money and not delivering product.

He also has one going right now where he is looking for partners in what I believe is a haunted farm. This is advertised as being in the northeast somewhere.

The above email cracks me up. Spooky Planet being worth $40,000? It would take millions to repair that company's reputation.
