All I'm going to say is that we've dealt with Minion's Web several times, and while I can't say they've all been flawless transactions (sometimes things within his control and sometimes not), he has never failed to make things right by us.

Sure thing Corey - here are the emails...
but allow me to first respond to your post...
I'm not putting this out here "because you are evil"...I'm putting this out here to let people know they may have issues with you. After 45 days, Paypal is useless to the consumer - they won't allow a complaint against the seller - since this was pre-order from back in April, those 45 days were gone before you expected to ship anything. So, I'm warning the consumer - I don't care, as a consumer, what your problems are. I'm paying for something, and after I was patient, I didn't get what I paid for. I should not have to chase you down to find everything (as you stated, with 23 years of technology, one would think you could stay on top of your issues).
You can make all the excuses you want (I don't control the weather, current on the ocean, truck versus train). You did not deliver when you stated you would. That's all I'm putting out here - plus the fact you didn't refund when you stated you would.
As far as pissing and moaning - I think there are enough of us scraping by that $165 is something we can ill afford to be wasting. Those few bulbs were my big expense for my home haunt this year. But it seems you have more important things to worry about...so if I'm not ordering 13,000 dollars in foggers, I'm the guy you can ignore.

I think this should be removed from the board and handled in private, actually since personal emails are being posted.
-
10-12-2009,09:59 AM
All the emails still arent included ....
But I agree, this does not belong on the board - it is a matter between us.
I have NOTHING to hide.
Every last person and order is important to me.
I already let paypal know I am liable for the refund, and you know that.
But you do not want to say that, do you.
Include all pertinent info.
Yep, I am completely against the little guy, here to screw em.
I am the little guy too, so I must be trying to screw myself.

Those are business emails - not personal. Corey stated I should have put them on there and I did. The only one I could not put on was the Paypal non-existent transaction number email (due to the way it's formatted).
And no Corey, Paypal still doesn't show you refunding any money. The only trasaction I put in on 10/10/2009 is under review.
The whole point of this particular forum is to let all the little guys know to be careful of who we buy from. You have the right to say what your experiences with Corey are, and so do I.
And another point, Corey seems to think it's up to me to remind him to refund the money...seems to me that if I can't trust your word that you were going to refund it, then posting that you didn't is something all should know.
two other points - the LED bulbs I did receive work GREAT.
And you might try eating cherries to get rid of your gout - my father-in-law suffers from it too and swears by it.

I usually don't get involved when it's not my business, but feel I need to here.
I had the same questions towards Corey back when it looked like things were falling behind... so I sent him a message. He replied LESS THAN 2 hours later giving me an update. I'd say that's pretty good for a small show, and all the issues he's encountered this year. Could things have gone smoother? Sure, but I bet it's a lesson learned as well.
While I think there were some mistakes made here, I really don't think Corey intentionally tried to screw you as you seem to be portraying here. I ordered less than $60 of equipment this year...and yet I still get replies almost immediately. And he helped me when I had some issues/questions last year prior to ordering. I would much rather deal with someone trying to do the right thing than some big corporation where I'm only a number to them. For a little guy, I still get treated as if I'm a high dollar customer.

All valid points, I completely agree.
I tried to refund directly, accepted blame on paypal for the refund not happening (still would have appreciated a note saying yo! but that is history now) and I saw what paypal has done (pending review, wtf?)
I do not know why you have not been refunded yet.
I too would post the paypal email confirmation but as you say, there is ...sensitive.... info in it.
The money back will happen, it is in paypals hands, at this point something I cannot control.
True, everyone should know if there are issues or not, AND if they get resolved to everyones satisfaction.
I am very glad the bulbs are working great, I would have loved to gotten the others to you when you had needed, but as you already know, for the most part...beyond my control .
And yes, I am drinking tart cherry juice daily, so if you need an ass kissed, my face is in the posture for 20 minutes every morning.
Do not get gout! It hurts worse than tooth pain, broken bones, tissue sampling, or nerve conduction studies, hell it hurts worse than when my foot falls apart (12 fractures, 5 dislocations) from my Lisfranc injury.

I wanted to add my two cents.... Placed my first time order about 2 weeks ago... the shipment was shipped and I received it today... I have zero complaints, the product looks better than I expected... and I definately will use them again...

I have ordered from Corey once. Everything was fine. I received what was ordered. Even bought a webcaster. It looks to work fine. However, last Halloween when we purchased it, it was a bust for us. I am not going to blame Corey here. We had 30+ MPH winds and anything that shot out of the webcaster wound up at our neighbors. Since the webs were the final touch before trick-or-treating, we decided to cancel the webs and move on and hope for better weather next year.
I have also had gout. Very painful! I feel your pain. I also know that everyone's pain tolerance is different. No, Corey, I am not calling you out here. I feel your pain. I was not there and I have no way of knowing how severe yours was. I cannot be critical of someone suffering from gout. It's awful.
Now PayPal is about as awful as gout. I ran an online business for 5 years. PayPal is a major reason on why my website is offline. Corey, my advice to you is get away from PayPal. As a consumer, yes, PayPal is easy and widely used. As a business, they can give you access to a vast number of consumers at a cheap rate. My advice is to spend the few extra dollars and use a different company for handling your online transactions. I think you will see that it is well worth it when you have disputes. Just my two cents. I would be happy to discuss anything further with you more privately either PM, email or phone.
Good luck and I hope to purchase from Minions again in the future.
