His site looks well-stocked- and some items are cheaper than elsewhere. It had a more "one stop shopping" feel. That's why I ordered from him.
I ordered from Fright Catalog, Spirit, Oriental Trading, and several others and not a single issue.
I ordered from him over a MONTH AGO, and still haven't received a thing. On Monday, he will get yet another email from me, one possibly saying to cancel my order. He hasn't sent any tracking info, so I don't know if he has shipped anything or not- time to make a call to my CC company to see if I've been charged...
Anyway, like others have said here, he won't be getting my 09 business, that's for sure. Hell, I don't even know if the items will arrive in time for THIS Halloween!

spooky in CO - I just noticed where you are located. I had heard that there is a big area in Erie that does decorating. Are you a part of that? We own a condo storage unit out at I-25 and Hwy 119 and one our "neighbors" out there who lives in Erie told us about it.
We live in southwest Longmont but store all our props at the storage condo and do all our building/prop making out there

You may want to consider doing what I did and see if that helps regarding sending an email today with specific bullet points on what needs to happen by such and such a day or you will be contacting your credit card company (if the card has been even charged). Don't assume that just because you haven't gotten a tracking number something hasn't been sent because I never got one on my second box.
That's the risk - if you cancel the order not knowing if it's been sent....but I guess at least you will have gotten it. Then again, when you go look at the terms and conditions, no cancellations are allowed after 7 days of placing an order.....

Well, I just called my CC company and nothing has been charged to it from either HP.com or his name, so his claims of this shipping out halfway last week and the other half this week are bull.
I wonder if the CC company could help with his "no cancellation" policy if this continues.
I'm quite tempted to purchase some of the items elsewhere and then deal with him afterwards...

My card was charged on the 27th and the first box arrived on Wednesday via USPS. Second on Thursday via UPS.

AAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Fed Ex just dropped off this HUGE box and I was soooo excited but.... yep, I was let down AGAIN!
They delivered only the Midnight Howler costume, nothing else. In this HUGE box, that is all there was. And there isn't even a cape/robe, just the extension arms and the mask. I checked the website and it shows him wearing a brown shirt or cape-like thing.
I am beyond frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I placed my order with Joe on August 31st and they assured me SEVERAL times that everything would be here before October 12th but there is no way unless they expedite now.Last edited by SouthernBelle; 10-04-2008 at 10:56 AM.

All creature reachers are supposed to come with capes,clothing,etc.sounds like he shipped what he was given.............
i think that this is his last year in biz......I know i won't buy from again. I could have bought these thru someone else but
at a much higher price & now shipping/order time is cut on these co. Sucks to wait for something you work for & have crap like this.....
& i believe terms & conditions are valid for 30 days.......but with mishandling like this on a multiple scale, i think he wouldn't have a leg to stand on.When you look in the mirror at midnight,....what looks back at you.........

Man, it sounds like you guys are going through a nightmare with this guy.
And Halloween is less than a month away now. Hopefully it won't ruin your holiday. It was trial and error....at least you tried dealing with him in good faith. Now, you you won't be dealing with him again. And, I'm sure, you will tell all your friends not to deal with them either.

I have been in the same situation you guys are in a few years back. I found the cheapest ones on the net and got screwed. Now that we sell the stuff we may not be the cheapest but we can answer emails and phone calls. Now instead I have to call deadbeat vendors and get product I've already paid for. It doesn't matter which side you are on you run into this sort.
