I didn't get around to putting batteries in until about a week before Halloween because we knew he wouldn't stick to a window and I didn't want to keep putting him back on.

Well, only one hand lit. So we had to take him apart - this was AFTER having to glue it all together since it was falling apart out of the box - and my son discovered that NONE of the wires were connected coming out of the first hand.

He then spent quite a bit of time soldering all of the connections properly and it all lit.

Halloween night he puts it up in his window and guess what? The first bulb blew right away so nothing lit up.

We never got to see what it looked like at night when attached to a window and lit.

Were you able to get yours to work?
That's really bizarre because only the right hand on ours would light. My brother fiddled with it for almost an hour and I finally just stuck it in a trunk with some black cloth over the top and the hands and face sticking out and placed the trunk in front of the cemetary. It would not light up on its own but everytime a car drove by, the headlights would hit it and it looked okay.

All in all, it is a VERY disappointing prop.

And this is why I hesitate to buy online when you can't really see the quality. Ugh. Obviously it's a piece of junk that shouldn't be sold since we both had the exact same problem.

My son said it's as if whoever made it had no clue how to wire anything. Or just forgot to wire it.

This is how we ended up using that prop. It would have been much better if it had actually lit up though.

Thumbs down

Bad karma I guess, but I think I tended to be one of the strongest advocates of HP, and especially Larry... and I got screwed. While I'm still a stong advocate of Larry... not so much so of HP as a whole.

I ordered an i-zombie lightning machine and up until the 28th, they were still unable to give me a positive yes or no on if it was going to be ready in time, so I had to end up purchasing another type of lightning machine and had to pay a substantial amount more for it (with shipping and all)

I plan on contacting Larry next year and seeing if they can make it right by cutting me a great deal on something, but right now, put me into the very dis-satisfied customer catagory.

Ok I have to put my two cents in. First of all that window breaker is a POS! Like the rest of you, mine fell apart in the box, attach the hands to a window and poof they rip out of the prop. Took it off the window after Halloween and the face ripped off its mounts. I was so frustrated with this POS that I thru it away, total waist of money!

As for Haunted props.com I will never use them again. Even now, after Halloween I have not received my full order and I had to send them a nasty email yesterday demanding that they refund my CC or I would report them for fraud. They did call me after that email and apologized saying they would refund my $$ but I still have not seen that.

I talked with Joe in December about the problems that I had and he made a small (but reasonable), credit to my account that appeared just a few days ago.

All in all, I would deal with them again because Joe seems honest and I believe that his company was just overwhelmed this past year and he couldn't fill all orders but certainly tried to make things right in the end.

As for myself though, I won't be buying anything from anyone. I'm selling my entire haunt this year. As Halloween draws closer, I'll post pics and prices for you guys so that you get first dibs.
