Larry, did you get the email cancelling my order for the hanging corpse and the Bat Creature Reacher? I hope it was cancelled because if it shows up after Halloween, I'm not paying for it.

Also Larry, I never received a replacement costume for the Midnight Howler CR that arrived with no shirt/belt in the box, so that costume is pretty much useless to us come next Friday night unless I drive the 2 hours to the nearest fabric store (which I refuse to do) and sew a costume (which I also refuse to do).

*sigh*

So goes the best laid plans of mice and men...........
Hi SB, I'm sorry but I haven't received any emails from you since 10/13. Did you send it to me or to sales? If you sent it to sales, I am certain that Jennifer has included it with any cancellation requests. If you somehow receive it, email me and I'll be sure we take care of it. Thanks,
Larry

Hey Larry - what about my order? Any news? Again, waiting for the lightning machine, but could also use the chains that I also ordered. I believe the last we spoke about those, you said there should be no problem sending those, but I've not received them either.

Thanks

Oddly, a few hours after I posted here this morning, I got an email from HP saying that "something" had shipped to me. It doesn't say what it is though or what day I should be receiving it.

"Joe and Haunted Props staff,

I'm disappointed to say that I finally received a "costume" today. But not the right one. First off I ordered September 30 and though I was promised it was in stock at that time (the XXL Jason Voorhees costume RU56064XL SIZE 46-52) when it apparently wasn't. I was then in agreement with your company that I would wait a little while for the costume to be in stock as long as it was sent to me before Halloween. I waited very patiently for this costume because it was the only one of its kind within reasonable price and it was very important for me to have that exact costume. When it arrived today I noticed that the box was quite small and upon opening it found that it was a XL cheap version of a Jason Voorhees costume that I could have bought at Wal-Mart for much cheaper. The item number that was sent to me was #674 (not even listed on the site) when the item i ordered was number RU56064XL SIZE 46-52 . I'm hosting a gore Halloween party and couldn't possibly embarrass myself by wearing such a cheaply made costume when I trusted your company in their promise to send me the closest costume to movie quality that i am expected to be wearing. I am extremely disappointed with the service or lack there of, that I experienced with this purchase. I expect to be over-nighted the correct costume by Halloween since I have been nothing but trusting and patient with this ridiculous process even though most of my phone calls are never returned and it takes more time than necessary to e-mail me back. My address, order number and phone number are listed below so no mistakes can be made. Also you need to send me a return mailing slip so I can ship this costume that I didn't order back to you. I have no need to for it, and refuse to pay for this.

Please give me a call so we can work this out. "

All I got was an Auto Response saying they are getting a bunch of emails, and that all orders would be shipping soon blah blah blah.

I would just say NEVER order from this site. I hope they can make things right before Halloween. But Im not counting on it.
Hi, I just wanted you to know I've been emailing you about this but haven't heard back. We finally got the right costume in, I held it in my hands so I know it was true. It went out FedEx Express yesterday and you should have it on Monday morning.

I also urge anybody reading this to please understand that the management that led to these errors is changing this offseason. Please do not blanket the entire company under a few problems that we had. I got things done for a lot of people that had problems this season, although a lot of things were out of my control as well. I came on too late to fix all problems, unfortunately. But for what I could control, I did the best I could and that is what you should expect going forward in future seasons, not the mistakes that were made this season by other people. With an entire offseason to fix the system, I can assure you that you are going to see a completely new HauntedProps next year. Thanks!

Larry, since next season HP will have to work on repairing it's reputation, you may suggest to the owners to implement a trouble ticket system instead of straight email. If you have a trouble ticket system that is assigned an issue number, competition cannot say...I sent an email and did not get a response. It will be a further way of covering your butt in the future. This can be implemented at virtually no cost. Things can slip throught the cracks with email...not with a trouble ticket system.

Thanks Larry for everything you have done with trying to help me out this year! You were the one reason I DIDN'T cancel my order. That said, I did get the tracking info, and I hope its the right costume this time.

So, at this point, HauntedProps.com is a reputable site, they just might take some time to get you your stuff.

Thanks again Larry!

I am happy to report that Joe sent out a substitute for Craky the Clown which was an item I ordered back in July and I am very pleased with the substitution and consider it more than fair. So, I hope that you Larry and Joe take all these issues very seriously in the down season and implement the necessary internal controls that will allow you to stay on top of any potential issues next year. I will try you again next year, thanks for coming through for Halloween 2008.
