Still waiting for shipping email notice, when / if i get it I'll let ya know...............
Looks like they are sooo toooo busy to read order forms & put in the right &/or complete items, & put more than 1 piece of tape on the lid........
This year is really gonna cost him for next year I'm sorry to say. It's not the 1st time I've seen a co come from nowhere & make it big in a year or two,
but this years mayhem,be it supplier or whatever, joe needs to sit down & really take in the "potholes" that we got stuck with & figure out a restructure.
I know that if i did order from him again, not to after aug/sept. But as right now i would have to say not.............

The Funny thing is that HauntedProps.com poped out of nowhere 2 years ago. How does a company get as big as HauntedProps say they are in two years? I think they are full of BS. I also think I can see past the smoke and mirrors now. They try to make themselves look bigger than they are so people gain trust in them and then once they suck you in with all the hype they promote about the lowest prices and the largest selections etc, etc they don't deliver. Better Business Bureau here I come!
I have a theory that their prices are actually TOO low - the profit margin is so thin maybe that they couldn't afford to hire needed help earlier? I don't know. Just seems like shipping in so many chunks, then they are going to have to pay to ship the wrong prop I got back....a lot is lost in shipping.

Profit margin too thin? Seriously?
I met a guy last year that owns 2 Halloween Headquarters stores and he said that his stuff is made in China and Mexico and that it's DIRT CHEAP to buy and he makes a fortune on re-sale. I have no idea if it is the same way with HP but I just figured it would be.

I remember that because you were excited about getting the first box and expected the rest of it any day after that.
I ordered that break through the window ghost and had to do a ton of repair on it - everything came apart. On yours - was there any cloth around the face at all? My son and I keep thinking something is missing. We haven't set it up in a window to see it at night with lights on so maybe that's when the illusion looks best, but it just seems like something is missing. And we can't figure out what the suction cups on the foam sticks on the back end are for - extras???? I'll have to say, that prop was a disappointment, but the other one we got, after we modify it by bloodying her up a bit, isn't bad.
We so rarely buy any sort of prop since we make everything ourselves. Now I remember why.....

Maybe it's getting eaten up in shipping a zillion separate shipments....???? Although you have a good point about dirt cheap - and I can now see why - since we've had to repair so much.
Guess I was just racking my brain trying to come up with an explanation .

Yeah, that one is a huge disappointment. We thought we had it fixed after we used hot glue and staples but then we couldn't get our hands inside of it to push the suction cups firmly to the window. And if you can't do that, it only stays stucks for about 20 seconds. So we took the staples out and of course the hot glue by itself won't keep the face stuck to the plastic backing.
We thought that maybe it was just ours so I had HP send me another one. It just arrived a couple of days ago so we haven't checked it yet. But something tells me not to get my hopes up.

File a dispute with your credit card if you do not end up getting the right prop or a credit. As far as returning the wrong one, leave it in the box and wait for them to send you a return shipping label. I am waiting on that myself right now. Don't use the prop and file a dispute. You shouldn't have to pay for something you didn't get.
With my order being so small it's not worth the hassle to me to go through all that for $20 which i'm sure they count on. So i'll figure out a use for the prop or doctor it up to my liking it was exactly the same price as what I had ordered so it could have been an honest mistake, but that CD I ordered and looked like it was a homemade CD now that was strange. It is a great CD though and what I was looking for and would have bought more from them if it wasn't for this bad first impression they've had on me and most of you. So if anyone else knows where to get the POISON CD collection they advertise please let me know
They ruined my Halloween last year and I will never order from them again.
Like many others, I never did get all the items I ordered last Sept... the
only thing I actually did receive was a rat that I ordered for my son...
I find it funny too, that they claim to be this huge company and are always
sending these news letters to my email...
The news letters, are more like brag letters... "We are having so much
success, etc"...
Hey guys - How about shipping the F'ing product.... instead of
marketing/tuting your own horn all the time?
One other thing, last year... I noticed that they stopped taking orders the
whole month of Oct. and had some wacked out reason... seemed really bogus to me at the time as all the other companies were shipping the same exact product without issue....
It wouldn't surprise me if Joe has a full time job and does this on the
side or something... one thing is for sure, he can be very unprofessional and nasty too...
Here's my experience in detail:
I placed my order and was excited as they seemed to be the only ones who
had everything I was looking for in-stock....
Well a few weeks went by... nothing... I emailed a few times... and got the usual no/delayed responses from them everyone talks about... when I did get finally get a response, it would be a vague sentence... "You will get the rest soon"...
I finally got just a rat... no invoice.... Nothing else? WTF???
I finally got fed up and called them up near Halloween time, like a month
after my initial order was placed...
This is where it gets crazy - believe it or not Joe was one nasty prick to
me... I wanted to cancel the order, but he refused to give me my money back, and said he was still working on getting me the product... I told him that it was too late but the guy was adamant that he could get it to me or get me something else... I gotta give him credit he is one pushy bastard. He must have worked in sales at some point in his life.
I finally had to play hardball and told Joe that if he does not return my
money I will report hauntedprops.com to the Better Business Bureau and my
credit card company....
After screaming at me that he didn't care, he did the unthinkable from a
customer's perspective -
He hung up on me!!!!
In all my years of Halloween shopping no one has ever treated me with such
disrespect... I don't know if he was super stressed out or what, but Joe's actions were truly unprofessional.
I called him back and he reluctantly said he would refund me on everything
including shipping... I waiting about a week and half but it finally did go through and I was credited back.
Finally the nightmare was over!!! Never again will I buy from them....
My advise for anyone who has a current bad dealing with Joe, stand firm,
accept nothing less than what you order and if he can't fill it,
tell Joe that you will report hauntedprops.com to your credit card company
+ BBB.
He already has 5 complaints in 1.5 years of business, so I'm sure he
doesn't want to many more...
