This link should get you to the forms you'd need -
http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/complaints.aspx?id=451
It's very similar to the process that I used here in CA to get fraudulent charges reversed in a dispute with a sattelite TV provider. Good hunting!

I see on the Halloween Group splash screen that they are not taking any more orders for 2007 and that all orders are shipping this week. Just wondering if anyone ever received their stuff?

I haven't purchased anything from this site although I wanted to about three years ago. I was taking a roadtrip down south(From NY) and wanted to be able to pick something from Halloween Group up on the way back. After repeated email enquiry wether or not this would be possible I decided to call. I talked to Jenna Green who seemed quite mad that I had called and she told me that "No picking up of merchandise permitted as they are selling out of their private residence. That pretty much waved the red flag for me and I opted not to buy...thankfully. I Just thought i should share that, anyway good luck to those who have ordered

I haven't received anything yet and I really hope I don't because the dispute I filed was accepted by my credit card company. If they deliver and can prove it, tney will be reimbursed. It's really too late for me to do anything with my order for this year, so I'd prefer that they just keep their stuff and I'll go somewhere else next year.

Default Clueless

ppolax,

Just wanted to say that I am alive and well. I had absolutley no idea that any of this was happening or that my husband claimed my untimely demise. I quit the Halloween Group back in 2005 when I became pregnant with my daughter. As far as I knew, the Halloween Group was closed for business as of early 2006. I found this forum completely by chance and by shock. It seems like Rob has been selling or claiming to sell products out of another location because nothing has been handled here at my private residence. I cannot begin to tell you how irate, embarrassed and completely appalled I am by this situation. I honestly am floored by this. I intend to speak with Robert and rectify as much of this as possible. I know an apology from me could not even come close, however, I do extend my deepest apologies. The Halloween Group was founded back in 2002 with the best of intentions and was relatively successful until after my resignation. Although my pregnancy was the majority of the reason of my departure, I couldn't commit the amount of time needed and I didn't agree with the direction the company was going. Looks like Rob has a lot of explaining to do to his deceased wife.

Default Glad you are indeed alive & well.....

Hello Jena,

If you search around the net you will find a post where Robert said his wife & partner died. I did a little investigating & found out he was fibbing to put it nicely. I don't think i'll get my order before halloween in that it is less than 48 hours away. Does Rob actually make those tombstones himself?
Like I said before i've tried to order 3 or 4 year without any luck. I do look for the best in people but Rob has proven himself untrustworthy. You are brave & respectable for posting here.
Happy Halloween to you. P

I know this isn't directed at me but it is really nice to hear an explanation of what is happening. I can't imagine your feelings right now, but to honest enough to come here and post a reply is to be respected, IMO.

I really don't know how the credit card companies go about collecting refunded money, but you might be getting notified somehow about my purchase being credited back to my account. They have all the attempted emails and phone numbers which includes your cell phone number. I apologize for bringing you into it, but I did't really know who was doing what.

I hope things work out well for you.

Thank you for your comment.

ANyone who placed an order and has proof that their cards or accounts were charged and they did not receive their order can file a dispute through their credit card company. If Rob does not respond to the dispute or prove the order was shipped, the credit card companies will refund the monies to the customer and put a collection against Rob (actually the Halloween Group).

Like I said in my original post, I had no idea any of this was happening so I haven't been notified about anything.

I will have a very long discussion with Rob and make sure he personally takes care of whatever was not delivered.

Is it possible you can send me the link where Rob posted that I died. I would love to have that to print out for my records.

About half of the products we sold we dropshipped from other manufacturers. The other half Rob did make, including the tombstones and the plaques. Were you charged for the deluxe tombstones?

It's really a shame that things worked out this way because Rob is truly really talented.
