fyi - I still never got a refund. Turned in a complaint to BBB - it's been almost 30 days now and still haven't heard anything (I have to wait a mandatory 30 days to request info on the complaint).

Two days ago, my credit card company sent me a new card - seems someone was using my credit card number and expiration date illegally (kudos to the credit card company for noticing!). Now, I don't know if it was these idiots - but it does make me wonder. In a way, I hope it was them - I'll really be able to go after them if it was. Credit card company would not tell me what the issue was or who - on-going investigation. At least there hasn't been any charges that I don't recognize.

If you ordered with a credit card, isn't there some sort of protection if you don't get your order? In other words, filing a dispute with your credit card company will get you faster results than with the Better Business Bureau, which doesn't actually do anything anyway, other than record a complaint.
If you ordered through PayPal, they also have a dispute resolution thing. I've used it when I couldn't get the attention of anyone for a refund.

At first I thought the number Otaku found was for the hosting company these jokers use, but a reverse number lookup has it as a cell phone in PA. Sounds like them. What morons, I don't put my phone number in my whois registration. Good luck with this dispute.

Does anyone have an address I know people in that area and maybe able to have it checked out.

I still advise contacting the PA State AG's office. That course worked very well for me, and was completely free of any charge. If people think that they're looking at jail time and/or big fines for shady business practices/theft, they'll try to fix the problem pretty quickly.

FYI - at least halloweengroup wasn't the cause for new credit card - seems a database was hacked/stolen -

BBB sent letter stating they can't seem to find halloween group - no reply to their requests.

Credit card company is now taking the issue.

And AG of PA don't want to mess with credit card complaints according to their web site - but I'll put in a complaint afterwards just so they have the info on these clowns.

Thanks for all the comments about these guys. My story is similar. I orderec via pay pal and have started the complaint process. I gave them 72 hours to respond to my request of giving me a status or I was going to escalate within Pay Pal. I found another company, same price, a little more for shipping. They have a 100% approval rating via ebay.

Yes I really wished I had my $130 back to spend on other projects. I will contact the Pennsylvania Attorney General on Monday. I also did pay via paypal so they may possibly be able to get my money back. I am a sucker for the halloween groups deluxe tombstones, you can see that ironmaiden & dave 1101 both have these tombstones in their yard haunts. I've been bitten too many times now.

I've found some information from last year & I can't be certain but the facts I do know are:
Robert Dovan from Doylestown PA is the owner, he was in partnership with Jena Green whom he married & had a child with.

Well he posted a reply last year that he was "sorry that he didn't fill order's that he was working on it & that his partner & wife had passed away recently"

Well her name is Jena Dovan & she is alive well & working for a telemarketing company & Jena Dovan just recently puchased the 36 Providence ave location in Doylestown PA for $240,000 in may 2007!!!!

This guy will absolutely lie about his wife dying to try to buy himself some time!

I found the information by googling Jena Dovan & popped up with the following website:

I also believe they've been scamming people on ebay with the user name:
frightening_finds check out all of the negative feedback. I connected this seller with thehalloweengroup.com because they have the same graveyard plaques, I asked them about an item & never rec'd a reply then I looked @ the feedback.

I will proceed with this matter on Monday October 1st. I will keep you all updated & appreciate any advice & information i've been given about them.

Yes that is the same Robert Dovan that I dealt with years ago when I last ordered from them.

He is quite a liar. I caught him in several lies concerning my orders, that is when he bothered to answer my emails.

When the website had announced that they were under new ownership earlier this year I was hopeful but it's obvious that too was a lie.
