    Well, it says subscribing to Hauntcast entitles you to a 15% membership fee at Fright Catalog, and in an email sent directly from Fright Catalog I was told there was only a 10% discount for Haunt Club members.

    The email said also the $10 fee wasn't refundable, which, as I noted but has not been addressed, does not explain your boast, "we GUARANTEE your Haunt Club satisfaction."

    Dear CreepyLA - I believe we gave Hauntcast members a 15% discount code. You can combine that with the 10% you get from being a member of the Fright Catalog haunt club. The club membership discount is automatically applied if you are a member. It's for members only. Any other codes you have are in addition to it.

    Is it me or does it seem like its 2 diffrent people writting the FC replys?
    I have been going back and forth if I wanted to buy from them but after reading all this I would rather spend the time and shop around.

    FrightCatalog.com still hasn't offered any explanation of how they define GUARANTEE.

    (it is widely assumed in business culture that any offer of a guarantee means a refund if the customer is not satisfied... so much so that I haven't found another example. For example, if I spend $1000 on a video system from Wal*Mart, and three months after extensively using said product I decide I do not like it, I can return it to Wal*Mart and get my money back... but for some reason, if someone were to mistakenly sign up for Haunt Club, and never use a single benefit, they are not entitled to a refund of any sort... even though FrightCatalog's own terms claim that the customer is GUARANTEED satisfaction.)

    I don't know what the problem is now. I called them up and told them I wanted to cancel. Everything has been taken care of. I just won't do it again.

    When you ordered the Haunt Kit, were you aware you were going to have a recurring monthly charge placed on your credit card? If not, did they refund any of your money?
