Look out - DIYbin is an electronics/robotics seller but I think they are a scam organization. After sending 3 messages for informationon my order I finally received a reply from someone (with very poor English skills) that gave me several excuses for why an order might be delayed but provided zero information on what the status of my order was. After digging deeper, I found this on their "Polices" page:

"Listings on this website are not an offer to sell goods, rather, they are advertisements to receive offers."

What the hell does that mean? It sounds like they are acting as an unknown third party between a seller and buyer for these products. Beware! This place is not a legitimate business!

This may be one of those companies that looks like it's in the US but is actually drop-shipping from China. I got all my electronics from Futurlec and I researched it before buying and read that it would probably take a long time to get it. Otherwise I would have been mad! But since I knew in advance I figured the savings was worth the wait (unfortunately several parts in my order were out of stock which is going to delay it even longer... looks like I won't have my resistors in time to build spotlights this year). So you'll probably get it... eventually. Of course credit card disputes are always an option.

My experience with them was pretty good. They were a little late with their shipment. But I tried various orders there after and it worked like a charm.

I think whats happening is that its a small company and they are just growing. Its hard to see this online. It reminds me a lot of a small hobby shop in my area.

I tried to contact DIYbin.com several more times and realized it was a waste of time so I generated a 'dispute' within PayPal which gives the seller the opportunity to respond and fix the problem. Again, they never responded for 3 weeks (with the status of my order still at "preparing to ship") so the dispute was elevated to a "claim". After about a week, PayPal came back and reported that they had ruled in my favor and that I will be getting my money back from the seller. I will keep my fingers crossed that I actually get the money back. Either way, I would keep away from this business.
