hey hal - I made the fringed dress myself - took me ages to sew them all on by hand! - worth it though - party was fab!
the tombstone was a large box that a computer desk came in - flat paked. i battered up the edges then taped scrunched up newspaper all over it - masking tape is best ast the paint sticks to it best. i gave it a couple of coats of masonry textured paint - then painted the entire thing black. then i used grey aint in light strokes to get the stone effedt. the writing I printed out & cut out & stuck it on. unfortunately i was running late & didn't have time to varnish it to protect it & on halloween night it poured with rain & it got ruined - so i only got one year out of it - i can always make another one! plan to do a full size mummy this year.
