I did contact them when I was starting out to see if they wanted to take out a banner ad in the calendar. Unfortunately they were more interested in trying to sell me advertising in the magazine and the rates are incredibly expensive! Good idea though. I can try again next year and see if they would mention it in the new products section.
I was wondering if you thought of advertising your calender in Rue Morgue Magazin, or send them a letter, mentionning it? They showcased a horror Calender in December's issue. I got mine with Doto, amazing job! Thank you!
Funny we were up to our highest turn out yet at 326 kids and at least an equal number of adults. This year I got a good number of local haunters who came by to check out the haunt either on the Sunday as I was setting up or on Halloween night. They had found out about the haunt through my website or Facebook. It was nice to be able to chat with like-minded people who could appreciate the work involved! Glad to hear you had a successful night although I hope your back gets better. My back is fine and I still found I couldn't move after 3 solid days of set-up! It's good to have help that's for sure. For the calendars here's the breakdown. I might even have an old one from 2009 left over I'll throw in. 2012 = $20/each 2011 & 2010 = $3/each to cover shipping So if you wanted to get 2 of the 2012 and 1 each of the others it would be a total of $46. My mailing address if you're sending a cheque is Hector Turner 19 Rainforest Drive Brampton, ON L6R 1B2 All the best, Hector
Hey there! Glad your Halloween went well. Wonderful weather, we got! Sadly, got only 200 kids around, way down from other years, but it's till was a great Halloween. Next year, we will start in September to plan and depack and prepare for everything. This year was a test to see if we could use the backyard and it was a huge hit. Next year will be way better. I would say, we forgot or didn't have time to use about 25% of my collection. Sadly, I did hurt my back (got ciatica, nerve damage to the spine) and been out of commision in the last few weeks. My wife and David and other friends helped out a lot, since I couldn't do much. Going to the doctor tomorrow, and start seeing physio. Wish me luck. Take care, JM (PS, will send the check soon for all 3 calenders, please tell me how much for all, also, maybe one for David too, will surprise him as a gift, for all his help).
Thanks!!! I'm still getting caught up on the forum. Have you posted your pics? How did your haunt go?
simply amazing!
Hey Jean-Marc. I have a problem. I'm putting the finishing touches on the Haunted Canada Calendar and I realize you never got back to me with your photo credit info. I normally use the person's name, name of haunt and location. I'm prepping the files and will be sending them to the printer first thing tomorrow so I need to know asap.
Hey Jean-Marc. I'm working away on the 2012 calendar and I wanted to know what you wanted to put in the way of a name? I'm asking people for their name, haunt name and location. If I can get this I can move ahead with getting your photo into the calendar. Thanks, Hector
I haven't done up an album but they can all be found on my website... http://www.hectorturner.com/hallowee...oween2010.html
Where is the pics of your haunt?
