You have a tiki bird show?? I'm a big fan of the Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland. Groundbreaking, innovative show and the real introduction of animatronics into programmable roboticised entertainment.
In the early to mid 1980s I went to downtown Los Angeles with two or three high school friends to see the unrated movie "Madman" at a crumbling but magnificent grand theatre. That was lots of fun and that particular film featured Gaylen Ross from "Dawn of the Dead" although she apparently had her name removed from the credits, thinking the film was less than respectable. However we kids in the theatre had a fine time with the picture and that was a fun Saturday afternoon matinee.
I remember working on the makeup effects crew of "Bride of Re-Animator" (there were actually several makeup effects crews working in tandem on that one, they had to hire multiple studios because there were so many monsters and creatures to build), and doing things for other 1980s horror films. A lot of fun, and these projects inspired more fun to come along.
Very very.excited to see materials from season six!! This show has gone in a lot of bizarre angles and has the weirdest atmosphere. One of the, er, stranger things TV has put out.. A stab, right into the nether regions of the Twilight Zone.
