Started getting the shop together. The room kind of got used as the stash all for extra paints/grout/etc from the house construction and I'm still cleaning that up. There's also a lot of boxes from the storage shed that got put here until we unpack them and get them in their permanent location still. My mask blanks, 'near lifecast' (I do a cheaper cast that get's the basic form pretty good, but not as detailed as a true lifecast) heads of each of us. I need to make new blanks...

I do love the one item/small reapers. "theme" Let's say I'm putting the CROW in scarecrow this year. Anything raven or crow will work. Totally be my hero:

No. We had some molds donated to our program a number of years ago, so instead of sculpting something new, we went with this guy. Our paint though. Artist was John Pinkerton. You can see some of our sculpts here: www.titanfx.org

Has anybody heard of this? I am TransWorld and heard from multiple people that a culmination of Iron Stock and Great Lakes Fright Fest is in the offing someplace in Indiana. I heard 2020 as a potential date. I'm looking for more info, where and when exactly?

We have been working on a number of props lately, and one of our newest is a piece inspired by the crew over at ADI. Their behind the scenes of Harbinger Down has a cool alien pod. We are using that for inspiration to make a BUG LARVA Pod. We also used some basics from the Stan Winston School of Character Arts' basic tentacle video to create a motor driven mech. Here it is - more pictures to come. wiper motor picture ATTACH=CONFIG]405938 Movement Video :...

Still putting things back together, believe it or not. Just unpacked storage and have started to get the shop put together, pictures soon. The yard is an absolute disaster from the remodeling. Debating how 'big' we'll go halloween wise, vs how much we just work on the yard. Depends on whether I can budget up a new patio for the back yard or not.

99% sure you could just use a plaster of paris skull *provided you're just going for looks and using a propane fire pit, not trying to cook or use it as refractory for actual heating*. I don't know if any of my plaster skulls don't have foam in them anymore, but if I find one, I'll certainly throw it on the fire pit and see if it explodes or something.

I'm sure Gym will be by soon... I was told our house was haunted, someone died during original construction, and whatnot. I've yet to see any evidence here. I used to work at a place that was widely considered haunted. Picture that warehouse where the Ark was stuffed in Indiana Jones. Yes, govt warehouse with assorted large crates just like that. No I can't tell you what was in them. Yes, TOP MEN were working on that as we speak. Anyway. Equivalent of 4 football fields...

Yeah, they're updating the entire building, buying all new. "This 80s tech stuff needs to go." A lot of it is just too big to save. Massive drill presses, table saws, radial arm saws, etc that each would fill my entire garage. Projectors will be going out the door soon. None of them have HDMI inputs, so are "worthless".

You never know what kind of stuff ends up in the trash at work...(and a little project I'm working on on top). First piece for the new shop. For those wondering what the heck it is since the cell phone didn't picture it well, here's new ones: http://www.engineersupply.com/light-tables-drafting.aspx

My brother repairs musical equipment. He gave me a bunch of burnt out amp tubes, which made some interesting bits. I also hit up some TV repair shops and got all sorts of fun gizmos that were 'broken'. (BE ADVISED, old TVs um...have bits that can leak god knows what the hell that was.) Vacuum repair shops if you have them, too.

Crappy video of when I was selling some of my lab equipment, made to show the local group what everything was, but shows a lot how I built things I see a couple tesla balls in the pic you posted, and they are cheap enough these days to use as part of a prop. https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=tesla+ball&* The cheese ball bucket typically found at wal mart several times during the year makes a fantastic lab jar.
