Terra, a quick question, what consistency is drylock? is it thick? I saw on thread about adding sand to exterior latex paint, well, don't have exterior but have a semie gloss white latex interioor and was wondering about ading sand, i have some styrofoam that i got dumpster diving at work, and thought , if the foam is free, wouldn't it be great if i could use what I had, just to see how cheap I could make a prop, but still, want it to look good! thanks in advance
thanks Terra, just what I was looking for!! I got a bunch of regular styrofoam at work in the dumpster, good size pieces about 1- 1 1/2 inches thick, and seeing as it was free, trying my hand at the drylock! thanks again, will post pics when ever I get done!
What we aren't friends yet? Glad you fixed that My painting tombstones was my first video tutorial and can be found here: YouTube- Painting Halloween tombstones I also made a Building Tombstones tutorial here: YouTube- Building Halloween Tombstones I use the Drylok for several reasons. One, it had a great stone texture. Two, it seals up the foam great and three (if you can find it) it comes tinted gray already. Saves a step
Hi Terra! - been looking at all your albums, amazing stuff! I have been looking, but not sure where to find your tutorial on painting tombstones, and also, how you use drylock on them, am actually in the mood to get going on some of mine- up dating the ones already made and making new ones, - so am going to the best source for inspiration- you !! thanks in advance!!

Happy Birthday!! hope you had a great day!!
Thanks so much Partway through the build I smacked myself on the head and told myself I could have started with an unrecognizable monster as my first sculpt. DUH! I just dived right in. But, on the bright side, monsters will be a cinch!
just wanted to stop by and tell you how much I love the vampiress, you did a fabulous job on her, I usually do scarier type creatures, cuz then, it doesn't matter quite so much if it isn't perfect, it just makes it better!!
