Hey, Skelly - came by to wish you a happy Thanksgiving! I hope you are having a fun and yummy day!
Thank you! It's all due to TK421's posting that thread about how he built his giant spider, really - it fooled me into thinking it wouldn't be too hard to build one... If you want to check it out it's here... http://www.halloweenforum.com/hallow...ild-tk421.html and then there's another good thread that Spider Rider started to explain part of what he does when he builds his here... http://www.halloweenforum.com/tutori...-pvc-legs.html I was looking at both of those threads while I was trying to make my lil' girl... We finally had part II of our Halloween dinner party Sunday night - it wound up a lot smaller than originally planned, but we had fun. We can always try for another one next year. And Halloween itself was warm and sunny here, so that all worked out fine for us. Now we just have to put everything away! Should be interesting trying to find space for it all...
Spiders!!?? I didn't realize your theme was spiders, but I should of had a clue with your spider-crab project!LOL! As much as spiders make me want to peel my skin off, I have to say you did an AMAZING job with those large friggin buggers! Your pics are unbelievable! I was just wondering if you guys back there got to finally have your Halloween or is that cold-wetness still happening? (Never any snow for us here in Fairfield, not sure if we could even handle it if it did!) When you have some time, I'd like to hear how you crafted those eight-legged horrors... Have a great (and warm) day.
Whew, that's a lot of work for the day after a party! The haunted garage sounds like fun. I like doing a couple of different things on Halloween when I can, but today I am just handing out candy here (which is fun too.) We had to postpone our party - we're in New York and we got some snow at the last minute, plus some other people had to cancel for various reasons. So we'll just have everyone over after Halloween and prolong the fun. Have a great night! I'm putting some pics up of our display so when you get a chance, you can take a looksee if you want to see our first ever yard display!
Hi TCB! Yay!! It's finally Halloween! Had the party Sat. nite, Sunday I dismantled everything, and moved a few things (skellys) to the front yard for the TOTers. I only get a few little ones, so nothing too scary for them. Found out my (grown) nephews are doing a haunted garage for their TOTers and later tonite we'll go over there. It's pretty creepy..I am going to try to video it. I don't think I asked you if you had your party? Enjoy Tonite!!
Hey, Skelly! I can't believe it's finally here! Our display is up and I'm so glad to finally be able to relax and just hand out loot to the kidlings. How is your Halloween going? Good, I hope!
Okay, I put up a picture! Let me know what you think! http://www.halloweenforum.com/member...le-holder.html
LOL! I can't wait to see them. That is such an interesting shell, such a cool thing to use for halloween.
Hi, Skelly... reporting some success. I finished the crab candle holders, although what with everything that happened this weekend I didn't get to take a picture yet. They came out okay, sort of interesting looking although I don't know that they're all that spooky, just weird. I'll try and take a picture tonight and I'll let you know when it's up so you can take a look. Thank you for your encouragement!
Hey! I am hoping to finish that tonight or tomorrow - I'll put up a picture if so. I started laying out the shells on the wreath part last week and then decided I didn't like how it looked - it was sort of just a mess? So I switched to just doing the stacked up candle holders, and I think that looks better. (Or could still just be weird looking - it's hard for me to tell since I'm the one making it. ) I'll let you decide when I put up the pic! How is your Halloween season going so far? Are you having fun with it?
