Finally, October is here! It's time!
The kids walk by my house on their way to school so I was out late last night putting up the countdown sign and a few subtle decorations to greet them this morning!
Woohoo!

This weekend was productive in a random sort of way.
I started Saturday, like most folks, catching up with household affairs after a hectic work week. While standing in line at the bank I overheard a conversation from someone who sounded like a contractor expressing concerns over how no one, and he meant no one, was extending credit anywhere. Folks with million dollar homes couldn't get a line of credit. Everyone wanted cash up front.

I don't start decorating indoors or out until October 1, but I have moved all my stuff from storage to my staging area in my home office room and still continue to add to my collection of goodies. I'm having a tough time getting in the door to the room - good thing I haven't started building the larger props!
Anyway, last weekend I had to clean up around my shed and storage area per property manager requests. How anyone could confuse my cemetary fence posts as scrap lumber or my...

OMG ... the fun ride is beginning ...
I spray painted my PVC flicker candles; they shoud be dry by tomorrow and I can try them out. I'm using a beige color paint to simulate a tallow look in the light of the parlor, which will be a dim yellow.
Turns out, the Great Stuff I cut off the ends of these reminded me a great deal of toadstools. At first I thought they would look good in the graveyard, but then it occurred to me I could construct a dead rose centerpiece in...

It was quite a shopping spree today.
Stopped by Salvation Army and got more frames and jars. I went ahead and framed up the last of my pictures. Combined with my store bought pics from previous years I think I now have plenty for static ambiance.
Next stop was Dollar Tree. Several threads here had mentioned some items that I might be interested in - and I was! Picked up 2 barbed wire, 1 skull doorhandle cover, 3 packs sticky eyeballs, 1 yucky ball, 4 2 pack LED...
