Thanks! The one in back is a gothic style stone that's about 45 inches tall.

Great cemetery statue! I think it would look nice on some sort of box base. You could do something low to the ground like this or go with something taller and a bit more imposing.

I discovered yesterday that Ragfinery, a local yarn/fabric thrift shop, has a bunch of patterns for $0.50! I got a pajama pattern and then a pattern of a collection of medieval costumes. I'm considering going back when I have a little more coin to get more and have a collection for my workshop. Really hoping to invite people by and help them make costumes, and I think having these patterns would be awesome for that!

I'm recovering from surgery, and this week is the first week I've been able to get back to work on anything regularly. My attention span is still very small, and I think I vastly underestimated how much I was going to be able to get done. On top of that, we are restructuring our business. x_x There are too many things to do! (On the plus side, things are looking up money-wise and the help we are getting in changing how we run our business & our focus will be so good! It's just a lot of work at...

I have never seen any kind of ball joint connector but I use the adjustable spider Hill joints and they are perfect. You get a full range of motion with them and can pose your armatures any way you want. As far as pool noodles, I've never seen any that will just slide over a one inch pvc section. You can "bore then out using a spade bit (messty and uneven in most cases) or just split them along one side, place it on the pvc and then wrap it with duct tape.

We also have a yard display, in addition to our walk through haunt structure. The yard display (as shown in the pics in my previous post) is all about the atmosphere and giving guests something to look at while they wait to go through the haunt. The walk through portion is designed to be scary and is very actor heavy. We let people make the choice to go through or not and candy is handed out before they even near the door to the haunt so little kids aren't forced to go through to get their...

We normally have a mix of traditional, and a good portion of scares. We don't go overboard on gore although two years ago in our zombie theme haunt we did have one room that was pretty intense. We deviated a bit last year with our clown theme but kept many traditional elements intact. Witches, zombies, graveyards, ghosts, are staples of our display/haunt. This year the entire haunt is vampire themed so we're relying on a dark palette, lots of skulls, gargoyles, bats. etc..

Seams are a bugger for sure and even those on a few of mine can be seen on close examination. The best way I've found to really blend them in is to apply a good layer of wood putty to each seam and then sand it off until the seam/joint is smooth. sometimes I need to add an extra coat if things don't quite match up. I also give them two coats of Dry Lok which is pretty thick and covers a lot of little imperfections. At the end of the day however, this stuff is viewed in low light for a minute or...

Thank you SO much for that! Truly appreciated. We have a small space to work with so layout is everything. We pack a lot into our small front yard but it doesn't looked cramped, which is what we shoot for. Yeah, that's a gamble for sure. Too bad you couldn't find some other haunters to go in with you on a pallet. I'm sure none of it would go to waste!! Thanks Dave! I'm happy with them!

Check with the big box stores like Lowes or home Depot. Ask if they can order it for you. They might be able to get some in on a shipment.

Here are some pics. It will stand over 5 ft. tall. I need to start sanding/aging it this week so I can get some color on it. Other than the epitaph, it will be a duplicate of this one, which I made a few years back and sold to another haunter. I had luckily picked up a pair of the gargoyles and they are a good fit for the design.

Thanks for all the kind words. I like finding nice statuary to use for markers. They add some nice depth and interest to a graveyard scene. I'm working on two more for this year and I'll be done!

Howdy! Pretty easy really. Go to the correct sub forum (props/general halloween, etc). Click on the "Post New Thread" tab. When the box pops up, just type in your question and hit the "submit new thread" tab. Hope that helps.

Hi...Glad you liked my little wall. There's no tutorial but there are some pictures in my props and mask album. Basically I adhered the blucky parts and additional items with some foam/plastic adhesive to some styrofoam (plywood would work too. I then filled gaps the with great stuff and spray painted when the foam was dry. The back and sides are painted with latex because I didn't have enough parts to finish. Since it's at the entrance to my underworld I've toyed with the idea of painting an image of a demon hand coming out from below.

I've read about your pneumatics..but I wasn't able to find any images or video whern I checked your 2012 album. I am really considering doing the Casafear groundbreaker this year. I have a picoboo and compressor, so I've only got a few items left to go. Did you use 2" or 3" stroke cylinders? What bore size?

No, I didn't think I could do a better job then Tara. It's basicly the same thing as her hell hound just a diffrent shape.

    Again, sorry for the delay.
