If I decided to move and build a house, I would be done haunting...but I'm not looking at moving. For me, based on the improvements I made, power and storage would be the two primary factors.

I don't know the logistics of your haunt, so can't say whether to hand it off. If I handed mine off, it would be to my oldest daughter, but they don't have the storage to take it, so I would still be involved lugging things around. To me, handing off, is showing up at her house on the 31st and helping out. If I'm still doing lots of work, then I'll just keep haunting myself...currently I have no plans to hand anything off. As for full size, I hand those out to all ToTers already...if you...

well that's a bummer..I love your work with cornstalks. I'm shooting to grow some corn and sunflowers myself for my scarecrows. I used to get mine from the neighbors and they cut back on their gardening

Finish this guy Then finish the other two I started last year Then do some super secret cool stuff that I won't show anyone until after Halloween so that I have a little bit of glory before someone else runs with the idea and does a helluva lot better job then what I can do Grow much corn and sunflowers then use jdubbya's method for a fence instead of a maze

I'm hoping the garden center where I bought Silas and Victor has more Gargoyles this year and that Target has something decent again too. While I'm sure I'll buy stuff, I can't think of anything other than gargoyles I am looking to pickup...also could use a ton of corn stalks or sunflower stalks

if you can't say anything for privacy reasons and you already have a solution, why start the thread to begin with?

I get Christmas eve with my kids and then they go to their mom's and inlaws on Christmas Day leaving me to hangout on the couch and watch movies. If I lived in a warmer climate, I would go just as big on Christmas as I do on Halloween. I don't get into the half off sales after Halloween anymore, but I hit em early after Christmas for lights and extension cords.

Who needs a 'Bah Hum Bug" all this means to me is that I've got to get past Christmas and New Years then it is planning for next year by repairing what was damaged during the sever weather that blew through the day after Halloween this year and then deciding what new props will be built this year. Down time during winter is just more fun for me to work and make things better for the year to come. I stay occupied during these cold months because if I didn't I would truly go crazy just sitting...

I'm in the "just because you can doesn't mean you should" crowd too. I'd actually thought of doing something similar to that nativity, since I have all the props, but decided against it. I may still use Halloween props for Christmas decorations in the future, but I would avoid a nativity scene. A bunch of skellies going for a sleigh ride or working in Santa's toy shop wouldn't be a problem

Your haunt looks great! You must have a team of people to help you set up. Nice work.

Hi...Glad you liked my little wall. There's no tutorial but there are some pictures in my props and mask album. Basically I adhered the blucky parts and additional items with some foam/plastic adhesive to some styrofoam (plywood would work too. I then filled gaps the with great stuff and spray painted when the foam was dry. The back and sides are painted with latex because I didn't have enough parts to finish. Since it's at the entrance to my underworld I've toyed with the idea of painting an image of a demon hand coming out from below.

I've read about your pneumatics..but I wasn't able to find any images or video whern I checked your 2012 album. I am really considering doing the Casafear groundbreaker this year. I have a picoboo and compressor, so I've only got a few items left to go. Did you use 2" or 3" stroke cylinders? What bore size?

Thanks I am glad you liked it. I still need to finish up on the hands, but then I think it should be complete.

About that political thread, for what it's worth, I don't think you had anything to apologize for. Didn't do anything wrong. But what do I know?
  9. View Conversation

No, I didn't think I could do a better job then Tara. It's basicly the same thing as her hell hound just a diffrent shape.

    Again, sorry for the delay.

He is about 3' tall standing. I got him at wal-mart back in 2001. I had to break him in several places and glue him back together in order to get him to bend over.

Sorry for the delay. I am having a heck of a time with personal notifications. I think I sent a reply to myself instead of you.
If you have any questions please ask.
