I thought about the blucky horse idea - by wondered if it might be a bit offensive - you know - not too PC. "Slaves" being whipped and shackled by reigns... Since we live in a nicely diverse neighborhood, I think some folks might think I had gone a bit in the wrong direction. Oh well - still - I love your whip idea! That makes sense - even if the horses are invisible. Hey - there's and idea - just put four horse shoes on the ground in front of the hearse with leather reigns going out to a metal pole in the ground! LOL
Very nice wagon. Won't the 4x4 posts drag? They look awfully close to the ground if it is to roll. Or perhaps your only rolling it out over the driveway?
You've inspired me along with a few other similar projects to build one. Maybe not a full hearse, but more a two wheel midieval death cart with a few corpse thrown in the back.
Storage is an issue so it would be kept outside, and I wouldn't want anything to happen to one as nice as yours.
Like so much else in our lives - we never think too far ahead... Eeek! When the day comes we do decide to move it - you can be sure I will have the video cam rolling to catch the $10,000 prize for Funniest Home Videos. Poor hubby. . . poor poor hubby.
Hallow and VERY cool hearse! We are in the middle of our building one - and it is a "Fly By the Seat" project to be sure. I posted a progress album on my profile. Sorry to read about your breakup - our son just went through the same thing. But looks like you will be comforted getting into Halloween. Your prop photos are really nice.
Hey Scatterbrains. Sorry I'm just answering your message from last month. I didn't know I had any on here. I'm really new to this forum. I log on and try to get ideas and that's about it.
I'm also a Sox fan. Have been since Fred Lynn was a rookie. Not much of a Husker fan, even though I can name more past players than a lot of "so called Die Hard Husker Fans". Take care and thanks for messaging me.
