Well, the box came UPS today that I am supposed to carry with me to the hospital! It weighs about 25 pound! It contains 3 different cases of dressings, two cases of some sort of gel, and vacum device that drains fluid from the wound so it can heal. I will have to wear it 24/7 till the wound heals up then I have to send it back to them, the rest of it I keep. The surgury will last a couple of hours and they keep me an hour to make sure everything went okay! Have to call the hospital...

It seems that no one got the BIG CLUE I left in one of my previous posts . . . Were any of you children of the 70's? Did you ever watch Good Times? What was James Evans wife's name? If I were there, I'd get to looking. The package was delivered yesterday at noon. My victim hasn't posted, so I hope the package wasn't stolen.

I am a true Halloween junkie. I've been checking out the drug stores for years AND the grocery stores. I remember watching a movie with my ex husband years ago and a drug addict was crawling around on the floor "digging" in the carpet. I was maybe about 20 at the time. I asked my ex what was the actress doing. He said she was looking for "rocks," drugs in the carpet. He said when addicts get that strung out they get desperate and search everywhere - the ashtrays, the carpet, etc., to see...

Thanks hallorenscene! This year has definitely been a very bad and tough one for sure. Not driving sucks, too. When I read posts about what this store and that store has out, I have panic attacks. I see all the news goodies and props passing before my eyes. :o On a good note, we are entering my favorite time of the year. I'm just ready for the temps to drop from the 90+ category. It is rather difficult to think of hay rides, bonfires, weenie/marshmallow roasts, carving pumpkins, etc.,...

The big mistake was the newspaper that thought, "Hey, of all the pictures I could take of the park and plaster on the front page of my newspaper... I think the best one is of the severed heads." They of all people should have known better. In this light it wasn't really the park's fault. This debate reminds me of the annual discussion of whether to use a hanging man prop. For my haunt, thought that it would be easier to just avoid things that would obviously offend some groups. But that is...

Getting all sorts of great news today! My doctor who's gonna do the surgury Monday tripped and broke his hip and had to have surgury himself! He's gonna be laid up till the end of November! One of his associates is gonna do the surgury in his place! All I know about him is he's been around over twenty times and he's familar with the surgury! They're sending me some sort of package by UPS tomorrow and I'm supposed to bring it to the hospital with me! They said it contains some sort of...

Don't feel guilty at all! I beat myself over that exact same thing this year. About a year and a half ago I had unexpected emergency brain surgery. My mother died from a hemorrhagic stroke right at a year ago during my recovery (she was married, but I'm the executrix and POA) and her husband was a piece of work let me tell you! I'd suspected it for a while, but he had some people fooled. This husband destroyed the Will, but was unaware of another Will my mother had from almost 20 years...

I absolutely LOVE her! I would buy her in a split second for sure. You did a great job putting her back together screamqueen. We don't have a Gordman's where I live. I wonder if they have a "sister store" that I might be able to find this jewel at. She's really awesome Witchful Thinking. I laughed when you said you'd purchased one for screamqueen and yourself. I do the same thing. :D

Just an FYI: To my reaper, I'm headed out of town this afternoon for a few days. (My fiancÚ is traveling with work and I'm going with him. We now live in different states and he has to pass by me to get to where he's going so I'm crashing his business trip.) My neighbor is keeping an eye out for my mail and any deliveries. Don't worry, it's her good eye. ;) To my victim: Where, 'o where can my victims package be?

Yes, that is me and it's landscape fabric but I use the professional version that I was able to get at a huge nursery. Granger also sells it. I like using landscape fabric vs. black plastic because it's not so shiny and it's paintable. Here's a link to the full written tutorial: http://www.halloweenforum.com/blogs/terra/611-building-haunt-wall-panels-tutorial.html This is how the landscape fabric I use looks. The stuff is so resilient that it's being used for cheap bags and packaging...

Hilda, I'm just a bat freak in general. When I look at your photo, I think of flying foxes, vampire bats, female hammerhead bats, all kinds of species. I like the variety. Now slow your roll MandaMalice! Weren't you just buying up all the Cemetery markers at Ross? We may have a cat fight this week. Unless you want to do some shopping together while my other half is at work. ;)

I still think I need another surgery to turn it, but at this point the bone is fused, so they'll have to cut it and re-set it. It's frustrating. I've made a lot of progress, but I still have so far to go. At least I'm up and walking though and for that I'm thankful. I've been really bored lately and I'm going to start on a new prop this week - my life-size man eating plant. =)

grave stones

I am planning on building several toobstones this year. I am planning on doing at least one with raised letters. I also want to get some antique items to glue to the stones and to get the paint together by April.

new year new haunt ideas

by savagehaunter on 01-20-2010 at 10:21 AM
With the start of 2010 I hve been thinking of goals. I need toi kill off the relitivly small debt I have before it gets too big. the second goal is to buy my own place that I can haunt at will and without worry of offending the landlords. I am excited about expanding my haunt and really getting serious about it. As a teen I haunted the yard every Halloween since I could no longer ToT. Then the family moved and most of the old wood toombstones I had were discarded. Over the years I have built

back ground music/ sound effects

by savagehaunter on 09-01-2009 at 08:36 PM
hey haunters. I was wondering what you guys like best for back ground music and sound effect cd's for your haunts. I own a lot of different ones. some for parties and others for haunting. I have been gravitating more towards Midnight Sindi9cate and Nox Arcana tracks for my haunt for background mood setting and combination of the old Disney Hanted Mansion sound effect record from the 70's to more some recent sounds on cd. I still think the old Disney version has more un-nerving sounds that
