I didn't get anything from the LOR sale as I'm going the DIY route. I've built my DMX EtherDongle and my first 16 channel AC controller. I'll also have some DC running 10 strands of RGB.

Just started putting together the controllers and lights for a Christmas show myself. It's going to be a busy year.
If you're ever interested in meeting some other area haunters, we have a make and take group that meets in the San Diego area. It always fun to meet others that share our addiction.

Well, I guess I have set an expectation in my neighborhood. According to my neighbors, I have to step it up for Christmas next year. After we were voted (unofficially) the best in the area for Halloween, people were expecting big things for Christmas decorations (actually I was too). There were two things that set me back for my Christmas decorations this year and last: 1. I keep spending my Christmas budget on Halloween 2. I had 5 strands of LED lights (that are supposed to last, like, FOREVER!) that I purchased last year that were rusted out on the inside that I had to throw away. I refuse to buy anymore Christmas lights from HD or the big box stores so I will be buying commercial grade lights online over the next couple of months.

What are your plans for next year, Savage? Are you going to change anything up? Keep the same layout and add to it? Do a complete 180 with a totally unique theme?

We have decided to stick with our harvest look next year, but go with a ridiculous amount of new props, all but a few are slated to be disposable paper mache.

The idea revolves around three witches on built up stage disguised as a rock out cropping in the middle of our yard. They'll be gathered around a large cauldron performing a spell that is pulling 20 to maybe 30 pumpkin headed skeleton zombies out of the ground. Probably 15 or so ground breakers, and another 5 to 10 fully out of the ground and standing or crawling.

All will have internally lit pumpkin heads, like our last ones, but we're going with cheapy C7 bulbs as I found they provide ample amounts of light and are very easy to wire up. We are going to spend some money on high quality colored LED spot/flood lights. Only about three of them or so to completely fill the scene with ambient color (blue), then I'll likely light everything else in orange with the spots we used this year on an individual basis again. We need some blue light for the spooky-ness and atmosphere, as well as for the striking contrast they would provide.

It's going to be a hell of a production process, but Aaaprn and I think we have the process figured out.
