  1. Thanks for the nice comments. The ghost at the front door greets tots that are to scared to go thru the haunt. If they want candy they have to make that far. The mausoleam, Coopers final resting place is 2x2 and foam. The columns are TGI joist and 2x6.
  2. I bought the car canopy for only 60$ (60% off) at Canadian Tire, last year. We used in the past the black weed barrier material for roof, the wood poles were strong enouth until snow it us. We build all our walls with it, it's cheap, water proof and light. If we didn't get a freak winds, everything would have been okay. This year, we will put wood panels as walls.
  3. Thanks, so its a car canopy, those are strong. How much was it? Did you purchase it new? What did you use for your maze roof? I use camo netting it works great in all weather.
  4. the top seemed strong enuff, but I don't want to find out. (L). In 2008, we had built a maze out of wood and bought a small gazebo to add to the maze. Snowed right before halloween, gazebo was destroyed, along the roof of the maze. Duct taped the roof and praid it didn't collapsed on the kids. This is why we bought in 2009 a car canopy as a tunnel. Never realised how strong winds could be here where I live. It;s a coslty learning curve.
  5. What about the top can it handle heavy wet snow? Nice to have a friend from up north.
  6. Hi, sadly, all the walls were ripped off by huge wind on halloween day, along more than half the props. This year, we will use plywood for walls. Thank you for the comments.
  7. I checked out your albums it looks like you all have a lot of fun for Halloween. With TV coverage you must get a lot of ToTs. How does that tent hold up? In Denver it snowed 2 feet two days before the big night. We spent countless hours removing snow and preventing collapse of our 10x10 and 10x20 summer type tents. I need better tents or a new snow theme. Buried in the blizzard.
