Thought I'd throw in my two cents here- I live near Vancouver, BC and hence have similar weather issues to those in the UK. I am working on some Stolloween / Pumpkinrot inspired pieces with papier mache, and plan to seal them with marine sealant over the summer when weather permits. If it will keep the ocean out, surely it can protect my pumpkin children from the misty mountain weather. Just an idea- good luck!

HI pensive! The quote from above was from a thread you replied to back in Feb. Your idea caught my eye, and I was curious if you ever worked this out. I will be doing some different types of mache projects this coming year, and if this idea of yours works, what did you use exactly? I live in Northern Nevada, and it is the first week of Oct, and I am looking out at 6"+ of snow, so you know my interest is for real. Every secret or technique I can beg, borrow or steal are truly worth their weight in knowledge! HM
