I'm in Williamsburg. Not sure where Aldie is sorry. But I am beginning to think that yard sales could be the diamond in the rough!! As for hitting the same one, I only went as far as Lanexa. Where was yours and what treasures did you find?

Yes, the Drylok goes on first - two coats. Then, I tea stain (see Terra's videos for one of the best demos). Next, I dry brush to bring out the details (as seen in Terra's video).

I get my Drylok from Home Depot, but you can pick it up at Lowe's, Ace, etc...

Drylok is essentially a mix of paint and sand originally meant to waterproof masonry such as your basement walls. I use it to give smooth foam a texture so that drybrushing will have a more profound effect. This thread has some closeups:
