    Hello,
    Basically, I used an old dishwasher spring fastened to the bottom of a length of PVC pipe as the pop-up mechanism (hatchet). Pulled back the PVC and held it in place with the plunger of an electric solenoid. The used a remote controlled trigger to activate the solenoid (puling the plunger out of the PVC) which allows the PVC hatchet to swing up and hit the tombstone.
