Hi Murtisha. I am sorry that I have not replied to you- I didn't see this message! So Sorry! I make a regular paper mache pumpkin on a balloon. Then I pop the balloon and start adding alot of layers of paper mache to thicken the "rind." After I am happy with the size, i take a couple of paper towels and dip them in elmers glue and water and wring them out. I put one end of the towel inside the top edge of the pumpkin, and drape the twisted papertowel down onto the pumpkin bottom. I use one thin layer of paper mache over each "line." If you twist the paper towels together you get a line that can be as big as you want. I twist regular newspaper and sometimes thick printer paper- depending on my mood! This will have to dry a few days. I put many thin layers of paper mache over each line to smooth it out. It takes ALOT of drying time because you do not want it to get mold. Take care and let me see your results! Sorry again I didn't reply sooner! Hollow
Hi Hollow. Just curious how you construct the inside of your paper mache pumpkins, how to you get the lines in them? Thanks!
