Well, my Halloween/fall mood will instantly disappear tomorrow when we start hitting the 80 degree temps & it will be completely gone come Saturday when we're supposed to be over 90. Blargh.

They probably won't because those props are for the masses, the "normals," not us Halloween-Is-A-Lifestyle-Not-A-Holiday folks. They're made cheaply in China, marked up just enough to be at an attractive price point for the folks that are just having a party on one night & then that's it. If you want a good prop you have to go to a Distortions or any of the other companies that make good masks & props. They're not cheap but then they're not cheaply made either. Or, as many do here, make...

This show was so amazing it was AH-MAH-ZING!! Five seasons & a real ending. GO BINGE IT NOW!! You listenin' WD folks, Kirkman, Gimple, Nicotero? THAT'S how you do a series! Cuse learned from Lost & gave us a proper ending. He got a do over just like Norma & Norman did. I am really going to miss this show. I actually cried like a baby at the end.

It looks....black.:D Honestly, I can only tell the difference when you put all the papers side by side. I could see using it on backdrops but at that price it might be cost prohibitive.

Brick & mortar stores have been cutting back for years. Remember when Walmart would sell blow molds, tons of props, tons of decor, all in-store? I do. Now most of their stuff is online. Some stores would skip Halloween all together if they could, but then there's some like HomeGoods that have stepped in where the others leave off. Halloween in-store, like everything else, won't go away completely, but it will change & keep changing. I also think that the seasonal stores will continue...

80s was a golden age of horror, American Werewolf, The Thing, The Fly, Evil Dead, Fright Night, Hellraiser, ReAnimator, Aliens (wait, or was it the first one....1979 nevermind), Return of the Living Dead, Near Dark, Pet Semetary, just sooo many, too many to list really!! Any of them would make a great theme.

These are just my first 2 thoughts & I've never done either one but if you don't want to use them for anything else or don't care if they're "ruined" maybe paint them or spray them with a matte clearcoat. Very good question & I hope you get a good answer.

THAT dress is the EXACT dress I bought!!! I really liked it & it fit pretty well. For me, the wig is the worst part of a costume like that. I can deal with the dress, shoes, stockings, makeup, etc. but the wig, even with a wig cap, makes me crazy itchy.

Train to Busan was crazy wonderful. Just when I think you've seen everything done in the zombie genre, someone comes along with something like TtB & blows you away.

They're just Red Shirts for the upcoming all out war & now that they've betrayed The Grimes Gang we'll be glad to see them die. That's their purpose & Oceanside's purpose, to be Red Shirts in the war. Oh we may get one or 2 new characters out of them, but they're just grist for the mill.

Freaks of Nature And all of Ash vs. Evil Dead Season 2., Both were part of Xfinity's Showtime/Starz Watchathon week last week. Freaks of Nature was a funny take on what happens when vampires, zombies & human exist together & then aliens invade. It had some good gags & a bit of a surprise there at the end. Good stuff, I recommend it highly. And there's not much bad to say about Ash vs. Evil Dead. HAIL TO THE KING BABY!! They bring back a few folks you'll recognize from the first...

Well, they may not actually catch mice, but that whole "red dot" instinct is a remnant of when they really did catch their own food. I have one that would be a great hunter with stereotypical cat-like reflexes but he's too afraid of outside (outside=vet to him) to do it, but the other has Wolverine-like claws that would be better at catching & keeping a critter but his reflexes aren't as cat-like. Yesterday a squirrel was climbing on the brick right outside the window where Ziggy was...

FWIW, I bought a plus sized witch costume off of Amazon. It fits pretty well & it wasn't super expensive. It wasn't too shabby but not the high quality stuff either. It worked for the few hours I wore it. I felt the same way, I wasn't going to spend a ton of money on something I'd wear once a year.

Mousing is in their genes. I had a couple of indoor/outdoor cats that were very well fed & it never stopped them from killing every rodent, spider, thousand legger & baby bunny in sight while they graced us with their presence. Sadly, they're now gone & the Furry Ruiner Bros. have never been outside long enough to kill anything.

It took me forever but here are my pics, a skully fairy garden, a dragon egg, a black rose picture holder & a votive holder. It's not a great pic of the garden but I don't want to open it & mess it up right now.

Have you tried Etsy? Or maybe get someone local to make you one? It might be worth it to get something that fits YOU exactly & not some generic version of yousortakindamaybeifIdidn'thaveabuttorboobs.

Be careful what sort of skates you use on those floors, make sure they won't damage anything because they're too pretty to be ruined.

Oh I meant that they didn't update the ENTIRE thing to current day. It's not current day kids battling the monster. I'm also glad, like Stranger Things, the kids are played by kids, not teenagers played by 30 year old people. I'm OK with it being 80s & today. If they did stick to the original & do 50s & 80s they'd have 2 periods to play, keep track of, get right. Having it be 80s & today is easier. Speaking of Stranger Things, this remake is coming at a perfect time with ST being such...
