roach, nice pub sign. jersey, those bust are very cool. Bethany, I've shied away from props too because of a repeat sound track. and your bar looks phenomenal. panampia, you got a gold mine. most times those are way out of my budget. $4.00 is a steal. gos, that guy is great looking. I love his face, I might be tempted to change his outfit though. osenator, nice buys. those lenticular photos were very cool. they were ones I don't have. your wall climbing girl looks creepy. I...

spookyone, those are nice candles. pib, I'm glad you like everything. I got 2 of the vampire things. one for you and one for me. there was a whole box of them. I picked out the 2 nicest. I thought they looked old too, and homemade. and they were very different looking. and there is a jar for a potion. was there no label in the box?

gobby, I think you need to have more communication from them. I agree with everyone, sounds vexing. when my daughter had a blood clot in her upper thigh, they sent her home and told her to give herself 3 shots a day. but some home health nurse came and showed how to do it. I ended up having them show me how and doing it myself. I am surprised they are just giving you the stuff in the mail. glad your niece is headed the right direction. hope everything goes well for both of you.

joseph, that video for a crystal ball looks easy and very cool. what are earth magnets, where do you get them, and are they pricey? last year we hung stuff in our haunt with string and paper clips. another year we hung balls using chicken wire and string. punkineater, I love the cards. yikes punkin, that would be scary. dawnski, that is a cute table, and very interesting table tipping information.

kelloween, she could be giggles. she is really a cute doll. lisa, nice reap. a great array of bottles, a very fun and cool looking voice changer, an awesome gargoyle, and some cool signs. lil ghoul, I think it is a good name for a cemetery too. plague, nice reap. that witches hand is very cool. and one can never seem to have enough creepy cloth. is that cat real? I thought it was a stuffed plush toy. it's very pretty.

I was a child of the 70's, and I loved the good times. what a great show. there was jj, velma, james, and ma. for the life of me I can't think of her name. I can just hear jj and velma saying....maaaa. so what was her name? evelyn? wow, a lot of people have been reaped, and a lot to be reaped. yeah, more pictures

no, I haven't seen day of the dead. I'm going to have to look for it. so are you having your annual Halloween party this year? if so what is your costume going to be? are you going to keep it self reliant so you don't have a disappointment this year. last year was such a shame

The only other thing I can think of is the various Hawthorne villages. They've got a bunch of different ones - mostly licensed like Universal Monsters, Nightmare Before Christmas, Winnie the Pooh, Munsters etc. Don't know much about them...they seem to involve some kind of subscription model, and limited releases. But yeah, lots of village people (!) on the forums, but the discussion usually revolves around Dept 56 and Spooky Town.

Hey Kim! Welcome to the forums. I'm glad they went ahead and made it official! ;) So you're looking for decorations for inside for a party? I'm more of a yard haunt guy myself. One thing we often do is hold onto old costumes and masks and see how they can be repurposed into decorations. Black construction paper cut into silhouettes can be cheap and effective. White sheets if you have them are great for making ghosts, or covering furniture to make things seem abandoned. I think it's too...

Always find the super short, pithy epitaphs the funniest, but they're sooooo hard to do. "Jack B. Nimble - or so he thought" was great, but I love your final solution.

Love Mystery Science Theater although it was almost off the air before I caught wind of it. I think Pod People might be my favourite. Gonna have to agree to disagree on Plan 9 though. I was really excited the first time I saw it - I had heard legend..., but for me it falls into the category of "so bad it's...still really bad". I only watched it once and it was PAINFULLY slow. Maybe I need to track down a riffed version.

Wow! 50 years! I came to both of these a little late. I used to watch Munsters when I was wee, but the Addams Family seemed more like a show for big people back then. So it wasn't until much later that I got on that bus.

Not even the slightest Halloween vibe from this one but I know there's Tim Burton fans here... and I THINK this was a bit of a pet project for him. As much as I love the look of Nightmare Before Christmas, my favourite Burton movies are probably Big Fish, Ed Wood and Edward Scissorhands. I'm kinda undecided on this - love Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz is amazing. It's written by the same team that wrote Ed Wood. So that's all good stuff. But Burton's last few films have done nothing for...

no, I'm not your reaper. it's a box I've had sitting on my table to ship forever. I'm a slow mover. I sent the white dress because we talked and you mentioned you were going to do a fairy tale theme. I thought it could be an ice princess, or a ballerina from the tin man fairy tale, or the swan princess. but to dress a skeleton will work too. glad you like everything. I have at least a couple of the special effects dvd's, I really think they are cute. hope you can use it.

Thanks for the friend request, Mr. H! Looking forward to seeing if you got anything new planned this year. (The link below from Mr. Gris is gonna be handy too. We picked up an old snowman blow mold last year that needs some TLC.)
  4. Congrats on the blow mold find! The best way to repaint him will be by using spray can. There are how to process on line but the best I have seen in by my friend at Blowmold Magic he has a how to video. Basically you stripe down the paint tape it off and slowly spray paint him back to life. I do this often it brings it back to life and illuminates again without heavy paint or brush strokes. I hope this info helps!
