The stand is a must. My husband is also going to attach staked rebar on the inside of each leg with clear zip ties. We get lots of wind and keeping them upright is going to be a challenge.

I bought braid hair extensions at Sally's and dyed them silver. Then I soaked them in Wildfire paint and water.

FANTASTIC JOB ON THIS!! I am totally impressed with your alterations!! I think I like the second option where the leg moves independent of the body rising. But I think anybody would be impressed just to see a thing that big moving!! Love it!!

Sorry, I had a little trouble getting out of the coffin this year. I started my cards in February and have put a hold on them to do other Halloween projects. This year has been a brain storm of Ideas.

Do you have a 99 cent store in your area? They have skeleton bats and frogs for...you guessed it....99 cents :)

Thank you, GOS! Yeah, some of those photos are too funny :) The stain seemed to stay put after it dried. I'm not sure how water proof it is? You could always seal the stain with Polycrylic sealer just to be safe. Here's the thread for the skeleton and witch build Halstaff started over on the other forum. http://www.hauntforum.com/showthread.php?t=42608

It's Optical White paint. Yes, our hearse is fully collapsible and stores flat for the most part. My husband made it for me years ago. We only bring it out if it goes with the theme.

Simple PVC figures can be made into ghosts or scarecrows on the cheap. Really works well when doing multiples.

I just noticed this posting about the horse. I guess I should have posted my photos here rather than on the main Home Depot thread. I bought two horses to go with my hearse. I was going to corpse them with the latex method, but I was worried about storage. I decided to get through this season and clear out some more of my Halloween stash in the areas that are more climate controlled and corpse them next year. I might even make them into thestral like creatures. I decided to use...

Here are some photos of my horses. One is before I applied hair. I still haven't had a chance to take them outside to do a wide shot. I bought blond hair extensions and dyed them silver. Then I soaked them in some watered down paint. I took off the bony tail and replaced it with one I made with hair. I'll post a photo of my hearse as well. I think my team will look great leading my hearse this year. I haven't decided what I"m going to do with the hearse. I'm thinking of adding a...

I've been debating on what type of modifications for my bony ponies. I wanted to corpse them, maybe even make them into Thestrals. Husband said I should go minimum this year since they are new and add things through the year to keep them fresh. I rotate props as well. I decided to just add some hair and paint them for blacklight. Very happy with the outcome. I'll post night photos when it gets dark. May even sneak one out in the yard for distant shots. So happy with the Wildfire...
