Happy Halloween MassMax!
Hi Mick, Thanks very much for the Christmas card. I hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas, and I wish you fair winds and calm seas in 2011.
MassMAx, Merry Christmas to you and yours.....! Mick
Thanks! I think your work turned out great too! I actually started building props in July this year and I was still tweaking my display right up until the ToT's started showing up! We are planning on moving to the mountains of New Mexico next year, so we are not sure exactly what we will be doing for next Halloween....We have a cabin with a big lot, but no garage.....Yet! It might just be a simple graveyard and some lights for the first year....we shall see....
Thanks bud! The setup consumed pretty much every night and weekend from mid-September to October 29, but I'm pleased with the results. Some of my lighting choices were pure serendipity (liked the string of lantern lights that I've had for years, that lights the path along the Treasure Trove) and I lucked out. This year was a real "learning experience" for me, with all the pain that phrase usually involves. But next year should be much easier (famous last words, I know...) Your haunt was smokin' good as ever. I really like the coffin and boat props you added to your already impressive ship facade. Unfortunately, October weather in Massachusetts can be pretty unforgiving, so I took my display indoors this year. But I hope to expand a bit outdoors next year and add a pirate cemetery that can weather rain, wind, and even potentially snow.
MassMax, I just checked out your albums and you did a fantastic job on your "Dead Man's Cove" walk-through!!!! Excellent details and outstanding lighting!!! Nicely done there matey....!!!
