  1. I usually start rolling things out the first of October. (It drives the hubby crazy!) lol But I try to peek peoples interest by bringing out or displaying a little at a time. Although it didn't work this year. We had a pretty low TOT count compared to last year. It probably won't get better until 2015 when Halloween falls on a weekend again.
  2. We actually start Labor Day weekend. We pull all the lumber out and sort it and identify what goes where. I usually sink the 4 4x4s that "anchor" the haunt entrance that weekend. It takes a long time to assemble the structure.
  3. Cool! Maybe I can come be the weekend before. ?? I'm always busy with my own chaos on Halloween night! lol I know what ya mean though.. no matter how early you start, there is always last minute stuff to do!! Especially when you have a lot of decorations outdoors and can't put it out until Halloween night..
  4. We always try to have everything up a week early, but somehow there are still little things we're doing on Halloween day. Next year I'm thinking of getting some day labor to help get a jump on the construction.
  5. I just may have to pop over and take a peek!! Do you only have the haunt open on Halloween night? Or do you open it up the weekend before?
  6. We're right next to the 241 - take the toll road down from the 91 and cruise on over next year to take in the haunt
  7. It's always nice to meet a So Cal neighbor!
  8. Hi Kymm,

We're in Foothill Ranch, a few miles north of the El Torro "Y" (405 & 5 meet).

  9. Okay... I was looking at your haunt and came to the pic of the grim Reaper descending near the balcony on the outside of your house, and thought.. That looks like California.. So, I pulled up your info and I was right!! Are you in Southern California? I wouldn't be surprised if we aren't too far away from each other.
