While I don't particularly care for tacky things stuck on graves, I don't think they should be messed with either. Those items represent the love that somebody still has for a departed loved one, and should be left alone. Zooming in on the pictures, it looks like it was probably an early automaton or maybe animated figure for a larger (probably Christmas) Display. Can't believe the price though. It would take at least that much (probably more) at a restorer just to get it stabilized in that state of decay, much less back to a better condition.
