I agree with you Palladino. I usually don't have this problem. Sunday I worked on projects for my victim (secret reaper) and that helped me get a little more in the spirit of things. But I don't know what it is this year. And the time pressure makes it worse. Of course I see that differently than most people also. I was talking with a guy in a check-out line when he made the comment that it was too early for Halloween store displays, after all it is still two months until October 31st. I was...

I want to say thank you to my dear victim for such a lovely weekend. I was so engrossed in one of your projects that time slipped away and several hours had passed without my realizing it. I hope I'm reading your list correctly as some of it is ambiguous ... I hope you enjoy your gifts as much as I have enjoyed putting them together for you. I'm still waiting on a couple of things I ordered for you in case you are curious as to when I will ship. We shall see victim, we shall see....

WitchyKitty, adorable cat! Everyone has received such amazing teasers and gifts. I love everything! And I'm impressed, as always, with the ingenuity and generosity of the people on this forum. There's certainly an impressive group of people that make up this forum, and I think that's an understatement.

Same here Screamqueen. The lovely witch and I went to Walgreens, Target, Home Depot, Goodwill, the mall, and Dollar Tree but none of them had anything. Joann's did have a few scarecrows, hand towels and a small selection of fabric but not much more. There were employees inside the Spirit Store but we were told it won't be open until this coming week so we couldn't go in. Very disappointed!

Br1mston3, in answer to your question, I included a local item in both previous years victim's boxes. This year nothing so far strikes me as something worth including. I'll keep looking right up until I pack the box. I think it's neat to receive an item from another state, as my budget is tighter than my broomstick! It's fun, but not necessary.

Bethene, don't feel too bad I haven't gotten very far with mine either. Gonna take a trip with my Daughter tomorrow for an appointment that she has so I'm hoping to pick up a few things then otherwise I'll have to plan a trip on my own. I have worked on a couple of things for another box that I'm filling though so that one is coming along at least :o

Well, I'm still very new to clay work, so keep that in mind. I have found it shrinks a bit, not too bad. The biggest problems I have are the very soft nature of the clay and the lack of hold it has for fine detail. Again, I'm still new to this so with some practice I'm sure I'll improve. But the low cost and versatility are great pulses in my book! Also no baking. I plan to make a set of skelly hands when I get a bit more practice. The color of the clay when it dries is great for...

hey, don't feel so bad, you two....I'm doing the store-bought thing too....I jazz them up a touch, but they're still not homemade. It still tickles me pink to see cards in my mailbox & decorating my home!

I'm not sure if I'll be in for the second one yet or not - I want to finish up the first reaping, plus I'm signed up for the card exchange, so I want to see how that shakes down before I commit to another reaping...... If I do join this round, I'll probably jump in the last day or two to sign up. I should know better by then.....

I stopped by my home goods today to see if they put anything new out and the shelves were almost empty. I asked the manager if more stuff was coming in and she said that they are scheduled for one more week of Halloween shipments , then the week after would start the Christmas stuff. She wasn't very nice about it either, spoke like the item I was buying was just Halloween junk.

I would love to be able to do the second reaper, but with my wife having major surgery late in September, I just don't think I will have the time between hospital, work, and recovery to put anything together. :( Best wishes to all who are able to participate.

For your budget this projector would work great. I use it for ghostly appearances as well and so fourth, as I have other projectors that are way better as well, it depends where you are putting this and what you are doing and distance. For overall for $65.00 and what your using it for would be fine.

I know how you feel Cloak_Dagger, my wife is having major surgery at the end of September, which will leave her in recovery mode through Halloween. This means that I will be on my own with any decorating that goes on. While I know I can do it alone, it makes me sad because decorating was always a team effort for us and something we enjoy doing together. I also know that she will not be up to having many guests come by or any kind of party, so it just seems that it would be easier to not do...

Hi, I'm sorry that I haven't been around since you posted the visitor message for me. I really did enjoy the gifts that you sent. Believe it or not, just a few weeks after I received them, someone sent a box of chocolates to my office from the same company! I was able to tell my co-workers which ones were the best ones to choose, haha.

Hi! I think that you might have been my Secret Reaper? (my name is Amie) I'm sorry that I'm finding you so late if so. I guess I was spelling your name wrong when trying to look you up to thank you. I really enjoyed everything in the package, and I appreciate all of the thought that went into it. Thanks so much! Happy Haunting!
