No news on the job front. BUT I've discovered I've got about 6 weeks of vacation saved up. So I'm thinking of taking a day as SOON AS FREAKIN' POSSIBLE and maybe two weeks at the start of May. That'd give me a bit of time to focus on the job search and maybe try to get back exercising and eating better. So that'll qualify as good news.

I checked out your FB page and saw your lovely Barbie book. Very nice. (Couldn't figure out how to comment there. I think I'm officially old.)

How's the new girl working our for you so far? You're in the bounty hunter industry right? (I've got no clue what your working life is like.)

yeah, going to take the year off. Got to take care of some things I have been neglecting for the past 3-4 years, i.e. yard work, husband, etc....

I don't think she still has the Malibu, but that was the one she remembers most - the one that started it all.

Didn't do much today. Laundry and watched some stuff on Netflix (We watched Hugo on DVD tonight).

Weather here is pretty much crap. Basically freezy with rain/snow and wind, so not much fun. 80s? We'll be lucky to hit mid-50s by next Friday.

Looking forward to seeing your Shiatsu prop (slow grave grabber - is that right?) Maybe you'll inspire me. Where'ed you get your Shiatsu again? Did you find it at a garage sale? I always check the second hand shops and never see them.

Oh, she says "I don't collect them." She says she's your worst nightmare because she actually plays with hers. (She loves to set 'em up and take photographs of 'em.) I don't think she's got anything terribly fancy, just your $14.99 specials. Her first one was a Malibu Barbie so I think she's got a special place in her heart for that one.

There was a friend of a friend who years ago bought a bunch of the first Holiday Barbie's at Toys "R" Us on clearance and made them into lamps for her friends. She's kicking herself now.

Well, there seems to be a fair number of jobs opening up here. So maybe there's hope. (I actually went for an interview at the Apple store. Figured that could be an emergency exit, but no dice.)

No, I didn't realize your mom had moved in. That'll shake things up. It's good of you to take her in - I know it's kind of a "have to" thing, but still, I know it's a big adjustment.

BARBIES! You and my wife can be friends! (She's just got the entry level ones though.)

She used to work with a guy who is a big Barbie collector and every once in a while if she's talking about having a rough day on Facebook, he'll bring her one from his collection. Kinda sweet. And weird.
