Great suggestions. I actually have used Camtasia (a few years back) and have a small green screen already. I agree with lighting with every aspect of Halloween. Lighting is crucial. If things don't match or if you have the wrong lighting then the best props can look crappy. I will have to look at that software again once I find the time. Thanks!

If you have a huge wine shop like that where you live it can be an incredible resource. The people who work there REALLY want to help you. They have haunter's passion about Halloween but with wine. Most customers who go in there are too embarrassed to ask for help but they shouldn't be. Remember Wine Nerds = Halloweeniers. ;) Heck, sometimes when you start asking questions they will attempt to open your head and flood it with info. They love to help just like haunters.

Have fun. I'm like a kid in a candy store when I go to a full-bore wine shop. This one was a favorite in KC: http://www.lukasliquor.com/wine.html

Yes, that is it. I got mine at Spec's ( a Texas liquor store). I've also gotten it at Whole Foods. It's a South African wine so it might be in a regional section at your liquor store. Pleased that you went to look for it. I'm curious if you'd like it. Though it's sweet - it's still got a serious edge of the red wine flavors. Probably a great way to dip your toe into red wines to see if you like them.

I'd bet that hangover was epic... Wanted to throw this one your way in case you are still on the search for a good entry level red. This is a sweet one but not in the usual candied sweet, artificial stuff you usually find. It's from South Africa and called Jam Jar Red. A combo between Shiraz and Moscato. It's got a sweet edge to take off from the serious red fruits you get from the Shiraz. I'ts not too expensive - around $8 a bottle. Color: dark red with purple highlights. Nose: Juicy...

Very impressive stuff. There are so many possibilities including some that I do not know. There are so many possible solutions. For instance another option is there are some 100% green screen solutions where the software can place 3D elements in front of a person. I had used something like this back around 2004 with amazing results but do not remember the name of the software. I wish that I would have purchased some of the displays from my local Spirit Halloween this year. Some...

I am creating a room to use for photography and video. I want the illusion of the background to look like a I am in the middle of a realistic looking zombie apocalypse that is outdoors. The completed pictures and video should have at least the illusion of being three-dimensional. I pretty much have to build a one room set in a small 12x12 room. My budget is small. I am looking for any and all solutions for this project. Some would build a complete set while others would...

Hey back. That file is called a 'Steel File Cleaning Brush'. It's neat because the wires are bent back and so you get extra grip to help shave away the Great Stuff. Google 'steel file cleaning brush' to help you find it but pretty sure I got it at Home Depot years ago. I'd include a link but the software doesn't allow me to post it right now for some reason. Holler if you don't see it. Oh, and you are still going to get a lot of snow - only finer. heh.

I would say it's up to you and what style you like in tombstones. I had fallen in love with a particular style of stone found in Scotland. They were utterly old, moss covered and had a flat gray sheen to them. From there did the research to get that same effect. Flat gray Drylok worked great for that as a base. Then used other paints and techniques to age the heck out of it. The final bit was to hot glue moss on them. As for thickness: Those stones in Scotland were far thicker than the ones...

Hello so glad you stopped by my page. I just got back from Home Depot and was ready to pull my hair out! I'm trying to figure out what pneumatic components I need to hook up a new airbrush. That stuff is CONFUSING! But I finally figured it out. Now I'm enjoying a nice fruity adult beverage....
