Thanks for the Friday the 13th greetings hallor! Haven't been around for very long the last day or two. Been working in the yard, finally getting some decent weather to work outside. Plants are doing great in my greenhouse, guess I'll be headed out there shortly, thinking my computer might need a visit to the doctors soon, been acting funny and slow these days. Hate being without a computer but it's a real pain in the you know what when they don't work right. Better get busy, hope you have a great week!
Stopping by to wish you a very Happy Easter!
thanks. isn't memorial day coming up? that's around the time i will plant my giant ones
I hear ya, we have tried moving one of our giant pumpkin plants before after we had it all planted, found out the wasn't the best idea. Hopefully you'll have better results this year with the giant pumpkin seeds. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
well, i don't want to disturb them, but i don't know, maybe moving them disturbed them and they are done for. can't see any little shoots peeking out anymore.
That's really cool hallor, hope they keep going and you'll get some pumpkins off of them. Haven't started our giant pumpkins here yet, will be nearer the end of next month, if I do them too soon they get kinda lanky by the time we put them in the ground. We do have our greenhouse up now and have hundreds of tomato and pepper plants going as well as some brocccoli cabbage and cauliflower plants. We keep some of each and the rest we sell to the public. Made quite alot of $ last year, and some of it goes for the fuel to heat the greenhouse for the following year and food/insecticides for our gardens. maybe this will be the year we reach the 400 pound mark with a giant pumpkin, just have to wait and see. Hope you are doing well, take care and hope to talk with you again soon.
got to share this with you. last year my 2 grandaughters painted two pumpkins and put them on my front steps. since we never use the front door there they sat all winter. so now they are as flat as pancakes. been really nice weather lately so thought i'd throw them away. when i picked them up, i could see little pumpkin sprouts shooting out the sides of the pumpkins, so i moved them over to a dirt area. hey, i got pumpkins coming already. can't wait to see how they fare.
i still have a few seeds from last year, i'll just go with them. thanks though. so you been having nice weather there? we sure are here. the grass is turning green. rained yesterday, so the grass should really turn beautiful.
