You're in 6" of snow ... Oh my goodness! Brrrr.... Tomorrow, I'll be in 60 temps. lol I'm jealous of your foam. I need to find some friends like yours, and quick. lol Let me know when you figure out how to do your entryway... so I can steal your idea. lol I'm going to try to make a brick facade this year for my porch.
Yeah....Illinois .....I'm sitting in 6 inches of snow. Well, not literally, I'm inside in a warm house that is sitting in 6 inches of snow. You're insane assylum sounds great! I worked in a mental hospital for a short while as a nurse. It was scary at times, but cool. I guess I levitate towards the crazy~ I'm lucky with foam. I'm friends with the ordering guy at the hospital, and every now and then get 3-4 inch thick foam from large packing boxes. Free! Can't beat free! I'm hoping to make some kind of stone entry way, but I have to figure out how to make it sturdy enough to survive winds and yet be able to be disassembled for storage. The wheels of my mind are forever spinning.
Love the idea of the blacklight in your maze!! I wish I had the skills to make a maze. And the room.... jealous of your space... lol Looking forward to your pics in Feb. i'm changing themes this year. Really sick of the haunted house thang. So, I'm planning to build an insane asylum; specifically 'Broadmoor Hospital for the Criminally Insane'. lol Really excited about it. Yesterday, I started planning my window with bars. This weekend, my plans are to nag the hubby to go buy me some foam and pvc. lol I guess I bragged too soon about our nice weather. Brrr... It's 29 degrees as I type; and the wind is honkin'. Brrr.... I feel like I am in Illinois. LOL j/k hope you have a great weekend.
Actually I have been making some plans. I usually start around Feb. but getting an advance start this year. I'm thinking about doing all blacklight this year. I used to put on a big blacklight production in my backyard each year (I'm not kidding....I have a 5x18 foot stage, broken up in 3 parts in my garage. But I can only fit so many in my back yard. I really enjoyed reaching more people this year. But . ..alas I cannot do both. So I think I'll take several things I did in black light and incorporate them in a maze! Did you say you were going in a different direction this year? What plans have you come up with so far?
Hilarious about the octupus slipping through the hole in the attic! That would be scary! lol And too funny about the Depends... and a good idea!! LOL It's been warm here too. Yesterday it was 71 degrees. (yes, i am bragging. lol) Was planning to take the Christmas lights down (from 2009.. lol ), but kiddo took me shopping instead. It's supposed to cool down to the mid- 50's the rest of the week. I can live with that. But, it's not quite warm enough to take the decorations down. lol Yes, I am just being lazy. lol Have you started building/ planning any props for this year?
It's funny you mentioned 70 deg. weather and going out in the garage. I live in Central Illinois and we almost broke our record high yesterday We were 56. It's January and we are 56. I actually considered doing some more organizing in the garage. My 6 foot octopus is actually slipping a little through the hole in the attic that I created 2 years ago (falling through the attic). Everytime I bring my grand daughter through the garage she squeals, cause she knows Nana's monsters are in the attic....and she thinks the octopus is trying to crawl out! Great to hear incision is feeling better after being drained. If you have to do that again, just wear depends . . . and let go honey!
Yeah, the doctors searched all over for the hole. Then removed part of my stomach. Can't complain; have lost 5 pounds. LOL wow! You're a surgical nurse... I am impressed. Don't think I could look at that type of thing all day. lol When the doctor took my staples out, part of the incision hadn't healed completely. So, of course, I'm watching my guts fall out. lol The doctor kindly informed me that it wasn't guts, but fat. Pretty disgusting either way. lol But, I have to call him tomorrow. Since Christmas, the incision has drained twice. And I think it's about to do it again. Plus, the bottom half is fine, but the top half hurts like heck. grrr Did you make any New Year's resolutions?
Oh my gosh. You poor thing. I was going to ask if they did it laparoscopically or open . . . and then I looked at your picture. Girl . . . I'm a surgical nurse, that's what I do every day. And I see lots of incisions. That is one is a massive incision. They must have searched your entire belly. Take it easy, I'd milk that puppy for everything it's worth. Hope your new year is less eventful! Jo
hey lady! You sure have been quiet over here. Hope all is well & your Christmas was good. I got stuck in the hospital for 8 looooong days the day after T'giving. Had a perforated ulcer. Doctors didn't know where the hole was so they gutted me like a deer. Put a pic in my album; guess my bikini days are over. lol j/k Have you started building/ planning for next year? My entire theme is changing next year, so I really need to get it in gear soon. take care. and Happy New Year!!!
lol!! so true!!
