Hey Joiseygal! Aw, that's cool! The obelisk is just fine - I've used it every year and it's been rained on several times but no signs of damage... I think it's a combo of it being foam (the paper covering of those dollar store sheets doesn't make any difference in the construction) and using waterproof paint/glue. As long as I don't drop it or fall over it, I think it's going to be around a while.
