if it rains on the panels would that hurt them? I was thinking of I paint it with house paint latex it would seal it? Thanks for all of your help

I feel your pain, brother. Unfortunately, my access to the forum is blocked at work. I can look, but not touch. I'm enjoying my one night off this week. Basically home alone while everyone else in the house is asleep.
